That’s quite possible. I’m mildly interested that anyone would put this much effort into what is, after all, the ‘net equivalent of obscene phone calls and in the psychology behind it. It’s almost certainly a male who developed this as a strategy (indeed I’ve a very specific male in mind and the strategist and this persona could be one and the same.) OTOH I think that the proggy blogs and ‘centrist’ women have demonstrated irrefutably that notions of ‘sisterhood’ are a liability in clawing one’s way up that heap.

Eenteresting, Mcat — which brings up another question: how exactly do you get those comments, with all their working html? Is there a program you’re using, or is it just some keystroke combination I’m not familiar with?
Along the same lines, I’ve been thinking about your comment the other day that you’re looking for another blogging platform because WordPress’s moderation queues are sticky and you have to put up too many open threads. Frankly, I can’t think of a platform that would have more functionality while still allowing comment moderation and IP banning. The two platforms I’m most familiar with are Blogger and SoapBlox. SoapBlox is a non-starter for you because IP banning isn’t currently a feature (though Soapy plans to add it in the next update — but you still can’t moderate by search term, or deal easily with a poster with multiple IP addresses). And Blogger, as I’m sure you know, gives you no new features that you don’t already have.
I’m not sure what software Western Democrat uses, but who knows? It could have better functionality. At any rate, it’s pretty (though so is WordPress, for that matter).
Another potential software is whatever Outlandish Josh is using, which seems to have the ability to “verify” users. Again, I don’t know what that software is.

I have no idea.. I highlight copy/paste and when placed on my page, it arrives iwth its HTML. Sometimes it is not a problem with cell padding it always is. MyDD has a similar html for comments. Very messy.
The cell padding at the soapblox is very much like what I notice from some ME or Israeli press.
I know little, except the rudimentary html that I use to post… the ease of WP (very easy for dummies plug ins, for the sidebar, for instance) was why I could open a site at all.

Never understood why ‘ol blue eyes was considered anything other than a second rate lounge singer. A friend of mine told me his own father was a competing crooner in ‘boken at the time, who, as he said “could really sing”. Have I been careless with my finances about 10 years ago? Yeah. But I’ve never been arrested and I’m looking for women with ‘a sense of humor’ in my online personals. Energy? Not so much. It’s all out there, but that might be part of the physical bravery that comes with being 5’11″ and 300lbs.

he emailed the exact home address to the person, the work address (a large transanational organisation) on another continent and a third piece of information — I canot at the moment recall, it as not the SS#, it may have been the work phone.

What’s between the two of you personally doesn’t belong on this site. But if what you say is true, you’re doing a pretty damned good job catching up with him. Weisz I think won my heart in Enemy at the Gate. I think her best work though is The Constant Gardner – fantastic film all around.
