Only at Daily Kos do the petit bourgeoisie bow before a twenty-something staffer of a Senator.

2. Revisionist - 18 September 2007

mattes has been psuedo banned at docudharma

3. marisacat - 18 September 2007

pseudo banned? On moderation, never let thru? Or what ?? (admit, I have nto been back since the Armando sludge throw)…

4. liberalcatnip - 18 September 2007

#2. What a bunch of bull:

This diary has been deleted. It is strongly suspected to have been the work of someone who is unwelcome on this site. It used dishonest sources and was deliberately inflammatory. The same will be done to similar efforts by supporters of the other side of this conflict. On this very controversial subject, we will only tolerate essays that in some manner foster dialogue and peace.

That last sentence is pure Turkana.

And yes, I guess “truth” is inflammatory. mattes has the same diary up at pff.

And check out Jay Elias enforcing a dkos rule at DocuDrama:

I’ve said it at Daily Kos… (4.00 / 2)

…and I will say it here:

People should not view antiwar.com, run by Justin Raimondo, an acolyte of Pat Buchanan, as a legitimate source. And, considering Buchanan, antiwar.com is likely most illegitimate on matters involving Jews and/or Israel.

“The urge to save humanity is almost always a false face for the urge to rule it.” ~ H.L. Mencken
by: Jay Elias @ Tue Sep 18, 2007 at 17:58:23 PM CDT

Wouldn’t surprise me if these wankers were in favour of that student’s tasering too. ENFORCEMENT gone wild.

5. marisacat - 18 September 2007

oh pardon me for laughing, really hard. I dropped in at Docudonot… and not even opening more than the FP saw this in the OPOL diary:

We had a fascinating conversation for the duration of the flight. I encouraged him to write about his experiences and invited him to consider blogging at dailykos.

funny how they willingly infantilise themselves and love and support “daddy”, from Kerry to kos.

6. marisacat - 18 September 2007

4

LOL Is jay elias DHinMI? Or his acolyte?

Dh said the same of Anti war. And Counterpunch… and a few others. Agence France Presse, as well.

7. liberalcatnip - 18 September 2007

Some of the so-called “dishonest” sources mattes used: WaPo, BBC, JTA.org, Information Clearinghouse, ipsnews, net, uruknet, and some columnist at antiwar.com who said this (that so offends Jay Elias, apparently):

In a disgusting display of mendacity not seen since the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, a pro-war advertising campaign spearheaded by former White House spokesman Ari Fleischer is buying $15 million worth of 30-second television spots that repeat the lies linking 9/11 to Iraq – and explicitly threatening another terrorist attack in the US if we “surrender.” It’s the first storm in a season of fear.

The content of the ads – four of them, so far – is so completely dishonest that one wonders what the producers were thinking: do they really imagine the American people are going to swallow another round of complete fabrications?

So, you support Fleischer’s propaganda campaign, do you Elias? Good to know.

8. liberalcatnip - 18 September 2007

Dh said the same of Anti war.

Yup. I remember that. Funny how they bash that site which is full of libertarians when kos calls himself a “libertarian” democrat. Although, not exactly being the sharpest knives in the drawer, I doubt they made that connection.

9. liberalcatnip - 18 September 2007

okay, mattes (0.00 / 0)

you are being suspended for two days- until 16:00 pdt, thursday.

you are clearly posting shergald’s crap, to help shergald get around being banned (if shergald ever tried to register up). you are also posting material that is dishonest and deliberately inflammatory. that is not the way to create dialogue on a controversial topic, and that is not the way we want this topic handled, on this site.

no one on this site supports israel’s current government, netanyahu, aipac, or the neocons, but your blame-everything-on israel garbage is not welcome here.

the glory, the love, the madness.
by: Turkana @ Tue Sep 18, 2007 at 18:09:45 PM CDT

Of course, he/she doesn’t offer any “proof” that mattes diary is shergald’s work. What an asshole. Why don’t you try debating using actual facts, Turkana, instead of hiding from the truth? Or is that just too much for you and the other censors at DocuDrama (MiniKos) to handle? Jackbooted cyber thugs.

10. Intermittent Bystander - 18 September 2007

melvin has left the building.

Quite a shame for some of the hard-working hopefuls who built the place. I feel for ek (the stoic), too, though it’s a wonder all of this was not more clearly foreseen.

Welcome to the ArmandoDrome.

Same old shit, different servers.

11. Marie - 18 September 2007

HC #134 prior thread. You inspired me to do a little survey on dKos hypocrisy. Unless 60+ choose #1, then they are hypocrites.

POLL

12. Shadowthief - 18 September 2007

Shergald, banned before Docudrama began.

hrh, “banned on site”.

LOL.

I’ve got some more messages from that raving loon Buddybuddhaboy in my inbox, demanding “answers” from me about something. The man is truly sociopathic underneath that thin veneer of joviality.

Docudrama was never “born” but rather “stillborn”. It should have been aborted. It is a Kos Klone full of Kos Klone Kids, importing the worst of the old crew, its old grudges, prejudices, and preconceptions. Utter waste of time and electrons.

13. Intermittent Bystander - 18 September 2007

BAGHDAD – The United States on Tuesday suspended all land travel by U.S. diplomats and other civilian officials in Iraq outside Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, amid mounting public outrage over the alleged killing of civilians by the U.S. Embassy’s security provider Blackwater USA.

AP.

The U.S. order confines most American officials to a 3.5-square-mile area in the center of the city, meaning they cannot visit U.S.-funded construction sites or Iraqi officials elsewhere in the country except by helicopter. The notice did not say when the suspension would expire.

14. Intermittent Bystander - 18 September 2007

US diplomatic lockdown (in Iraq) gone to spam.

Yeah. He took off in the aftermath of the (first) Aravian “civility” twist-up/sitewide coronation/slashfest.

Minor fiefdoms are being parceled now.

Just a quick note to say (4.00 / 2)

that I support the action that Turkana took. I will be deferring to him on the I/P issues, since my knowledge is insufficient in this area.

18. Marie - 18 September 2007

#2 Rev – mattes has been given a time out and told to sit in a chair in the corner and be quiet. If he’s good, the “adults” might give him a second chance.

Looks as if the dKos hypocrites are staying away from my poll. Or particpating and lying their asses off.

19. marisacat - 18 September 2007

LOL think peeder thought the better of his old plan, that I/P needed to wait for a more “balanced” comment group.

<Unlike ahem some other blogs, we won’t censor this, nor will we censor counterarguments – promoted by peeder)

On his promote of the latest mattes…

so still laughing here, Turkana is now the i/P thug in residence.

Open Letter to ABC’s John Stossel … from Julie Pierce, American SiCKO

You go on to claim that Tracy wouldn’t have received his transplant in a country with socialized medicine, either. Where is the evidence? Not only are more bone marrow transplants performed every year in Canada, but they invented the technology! So much for your ridiculous claim that “profit is what has created the amazing scientific innovations that the U.S. offers to the world. If government takes over, innovation slows, health care is rationed.”

You are simply carrying water for the for-profit insurance industry that killed my husband. And then you have the nerve to accuse me of “sneering” about it. My husband has only been dead since January 18th, 2006. It is still fresh to me and my family, and comments like this are inhumane.

I have since tried to contact you via email, but you have not responded. I don’t expect an answer. People like you just write with an agenda, without coming to the source or getting any facts, because your main goal is to try to discredit Michael Moore and universal health care. I understand it’s a game — you did it without thinking about how you would hurt a family who have suffered — and are still suffering — such a tragic loss.

My family is not a “Sick Sob Story.” We are a normal, American family that has had a significant member die from a horrible cancer that ravaged his body due to repeated denials from a health insurance company. We will never know for sure what would have worked because Tracy was never given a fighting chance. Over 18,000 Americans die each year because they don’t have health insurance. I suppose theirs are “sob stories,” too.

25. keirdubois - 18 September 2007

Marie, there’s no option for “I trashed everything and still don’t know why.” If I have to be a klone, lemme be an honest klone. Oh well.

26. Intermittent Bystander - 18 September 2007

buhdy’s got “international relations people” to handle I/P for him.

If Buddhism is about anything, it’s about compassion for all living things. Obviously, buddy is more interested in the dollar. Bad karma….War Machine Enabler.

AIPAC, move over….dharmabubby’s in town.

29. msxeno - 18 September 2007

[coming up for air]

Carry on, mattes, hrh, and the rest in the latest Village of the Banned scandal.

Fuck the AIPAC gatekeepers. They don’t speak for this Jew. No way. No how.

It’s always a thrill to watch a single mega-narcissist roam from blog to blog trashing one after the other after the other, always with the approval of some little cadre of sycophants to explain why this time, contrary to promises given, is turning out exactly like last time. I never feel sorry for the sycophants, but I do feel sorry for people who get taken in and then run over by this sort of person. Sometimes more than once before they get wise.

Been there. Done that. Such a thrill. In fact the Armando-like roving wrecker I remember from days of yore still lives around here somewhere. She seems to have forgotten all about me, for which I am profoundly grateful. Then again, I steer clear of any space which I suspect she might frequent.

Oh, and I sold a picture today, looks like.

[deep breath, diving down again]

30. marisacat - 18 September 2007

I am jsut catching up at PFF… I see the Great Banning at docudonot is covered in the open thread.

Gosh, is buhdy slimey or what.

When Armando came over to BMT (where quite a lot moved to in the wake of PIE) the die ws cast when Martin let him lecture the evacuees, from the FP. Sure, let him post, comment, of course. But make him live in diaries. Don’t elevate him over your own commenters.

No, the sludge (Martin, Windsock, buhdy, etc) will always work for the idiots they think will help them, fund them, connect them to god knows what or who…

I doubt Armando will do more for buhdyboy than he did for that slouch Martin… or the skin ripper.

Thanks, Madman and Mcat. Of course, the money is going straight into Popecare’s coffers, but pretend you don’t know that– because I wouldn’t want John Stossel to think that I have a rocky relationship with The Greatest Healthcare System on Earth or anything.

[salute]

Best.

37. msxeno - 18 September 2007

You, too, mattes. :)

38. Intermittent Bystander - 18 September 2007

More like a bubble, I think, mattes.

Rev – DianeL had a few remarks about OPOL’s banner, too.

I mean, it’s a pseudomystical, 60s hippiesque alternative to DK’s pseudomilitaristic, flag-and-army-stenciled graphical inyerface . . . I guess people were content enough with the former, given the latter, where most of them met.

But will it be the same bloody, approved-and-monitored content too?

Minus DHinMI and (most) pals, sure. But enhanced with the noted sociopath Ar-fucking-mando.

It all makes me want to spit. Again.

I’m an Intermittent now.

39. Intermittent Bystander - 18 September 2007

PS: The Pope sleeps in pay toilets.

Anybody remember the Little Feat song Willing?

41. Intermittent Bystander - 18 September 2007

Willin’
Little Feat (1971)

I been warped by the rain, driven by the snow
I’m drunk and dirty don’t ya know, and I’m still, oh I’m still
Out on the road late at night, I seen my pretty Alice in every head light
Alice, Dallas Alice

I’ve been from Tuscon to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonapah
Driven every kind of rig that’s ever been made
Now I driven the back roads so I wouldn’t get weighed
And if you give me: weed, whites, and wine
and you show me a sign
I’ll be willin’, to be movin’

Now I smuggled some smokes and folks from Mexico
baked by the sun, every time I go to Mexico, and I’m still
And I’ve been kicked be the wind, robbed by the sleet
Had my head stoved in and I’m still on my feet and I’m willin’, oh I’m willin’

And I been from Tuscon to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonapah
Driven every kind of rig that’s ever been made
Driven the back roads so I wouldn’t get weighed
And if you give me: weed, whites, and wine
and then you show me a sign
I’ll be willin’, to be movin’

it’s a pseudomystical, 60s hippiesque alternative — Int Bystander…

mind if I update taht a bit…? I had a real laugh when I saw in his letter to Bill O’R (or to an advertiser, I forget, the letter that D Throat posted) that he is 47 and a San Franciscan..

cuz that banner is pure commercial product, era 70s, West coast…. very tired reduction work.. gah.

Really, it is post the hippie era, all the mystical borrowing. It is all the Eastern mysticism and Chinese and Japanese symbology that was incorporated into so many commerical lines (much jewelry, for one, ti is very Laurel Burch… a big EST cult / ROn Mann follower here in SF)… on the West Coast in the 70s. Variations for location, SW, Indian symbology, etc…

And yes of course the 70s commerical product rose from the elemnts of the 60s. not saying they are disconnected at all…

You get the point. ;)

Oh I did laugh..

45. antihegemonic - 18 September 2007

46. Intermittent Bystander - 18 September 2007

He’s 49 now. A disabled carpenter, broke, and just moved (like last week) to Mexico, in a hurricane, to a rent-free abode. Born in 58, grew up in the Haight. Dad was a Gurjieff (sp?) guru, split early.

Like MSOC, he has offered a lot of bio detail online.

But yeah, maybe I should have said pseudo60s too.

not denying what the 60s were. Just saw and handled a lot of commercial product in the 70s. And the banner stank, minute one.

And I love all that the product is drawn from. Did not grwo up in the west for nothing.

Well poor buhdy. Sounds like he needs a job. Seems to be a classic for what I call the “box car sites”.

let our thugs kill with impunity or we won’t leave.

Iraqi government restrictions on security contractor Blackwater USA could mean a range of complications for US involvement in the country–potentially even undermining current plans to remove some troops on the ground, reports the Wall Street Journal in a story by August Cole and Neil King, Jr.

After an incident on Sunday in which Blackwater security personnel killed Baghdad civilians during a fight with insurgents, the government of Iraq announced that it plans to deny the firm permission to continue operations.

“The incident may increase strains between the Bush administration and the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki,” said the Journal. “The State Department relies heavily on Blackwater to guard its diplomatic compound within Iraq’s Green Zone and also to provide security for U.S. diplomats as they travel around Iraq. The work often calls for Blackwater to draw on its fleet of armed helicopters, which give it an arsenal that other security contractors lack.”

Coming at an “awkward time” for the White House, according to the Journal, the incident follows on the heels of an announcement last week that the US plans to withdraw as many as 30,000 troops by July.

“As the U.S. diminishes its military footprint,” Cole and King write, “it is almost certain to rely more heavily on private-security companies to guard the tens of thousands of nonmilitary U.S. personnel working in Iraq.”

“Security contractors, who are more lightly armed than their American military counterparts, play an important role protecting not just U.S. officials but also employees of the many companies working on rebuilding Iraq’s infrastructure,” continued the Journal.”Blackwater is one of the largest security contractors in Iraq, with some 1,000 contractors there, most of them American. Picking up any slack should Blackwater’s operations be interrupted or cease would be a tall order for rivals.”

54. Madman in the Marketplace - 18 September 2007

In 1969 We Already Knew What 2007 Would Look Like

The big revolution which we assumed would result in many of us being carted off to camps did not materialize. Still, there was a prescience to the idea itself. Sooner or later the government did build them. Only they’re for Middle-Eastern people, Hispanics, African-Americans.

You can’t live off the grid forever no matter how determined you were to “get out of the system.” Living without any dough was making people bitter and hard. People came “back in.” Started watching the “news” again. The repetitious sequels of the demise of the great old republic which we knew was dead in ‘69.

Nothing is really inevitable until it happens. Yet looking back at those years it feels inevitable — that we would be rightwhere we are now. That our grand old republic has finally reached what is its real, true level. It feels inevitable too that soon it won’t even need to pretend that it was once something else.

I’m going to bed … I feel wrung dry. Night everyone.

Meyer’s big sin seems to be that he considered himself the equal of Kerry. “You spoke for two hours now give me five minutes”. He tried to take the floor and hold it and give his own speech.

We’ve been trained to put politicians and military officers on a pedestal most of us don’t even think about saying something like that.

How dare that awkward obnoxious 21 year old consider himself the equal of the “war hero”.

58. Hair Club for Men - 18 September 2007

Are these people for real?

Within close range, I have to say that I didn’t feel it was the safest situation. I did not feel like they had him under control at all- and was scared that if he did manage to get up- he would have started getting riled up again. I personally was in a location that if he had started flailing around again- I would have been at risk.

At risk? At fucking risk? OMFG. No. A Sunni who drives into the wrong neighborhood in Baghdad is “at risk” you twit. You might have gotten your foot stepped on. Jeez.

59. antihegemonic - 18 September 2007

60. Hair Club for Men - 18 September 2007

This looks interesting.

http://nyc.indymedia.org/en/2007/09/90939.html

(New Brunswick, NJ) – On the weekend of October 5-7, 2007, Rutgers Against the War (RAW) and the Central Jersey Coalition Against Endless War will host a conference on the issue of veterans returning from the Iraq War, “Marching Home.” Rutgers Against the War is a group consisting mainly of students with a tradition of hosting panels on issues related to war and military recruitment that include nationally renowned figures. The three day free conference will feature veterans and experts from around the country presenting their experiences to each other and the community at large. Featured speakers will include Iraq War veteran and former military recruiter and Marine Staff Sgt., Jimmy Massey; Award-winning journalist of “Democracy Now,” Amy Goodman; former Brigadier General Janis Karpinski; National Coordinator for Vietnam Veterans for Peace, Bill Perry; Iraq war veteran and Co-founder of the Appeal for Redress, Liam Madden; Iraqi-American doctor Dahlia Wasfi, who testified before Congress on conditions inside Iraq; and Ret. Col. Ann Wright, who resigned her position in protest to the invasion of Iraq.

Let’s just hope Kerry doesn’t send goons in to start tasering people.

That guy was just a young man untrained in self-defence, but one of these days, the bullies are going to pick on the wrong person or group of persons: pissed-off vets from the Iraqi and Afghani theatres who aren’t quite so easy to push to the ground.

It doesn’t have to be this way, of course. If the ruling elite of the United States had any brains at all, they’d find a peaceful way to accommodate dissent and learn from it–but they’ve decided, in their arrogance and their ignorance of human history, that they can rule absolutely and stomp their boots in people’s faces without fear of reprisal or resistance.

Ah, some people never learn. Next time it won’t be one lone dissenter but ten of them, fifty of them, a hundred of them–and then what will they do?

70. Hair Club for Men - 18 September 2007

Just read the Kerry staffer’s diary. These people are disgusting:

Plus. By saying that he/she was speaking for Kerry because Kerry was busy, he/she implied that the other diaries from Kerry had actually been posted by Kerry.

How many people really believe Kerry posts his own diaries at the Daily Kos?

Come on. You have Kerry’s interns saying (sometimes) they’re Kerry himself and (other times) that Kerry is busy.

This is a Trent Lott/George Allen/My Pet Goat moment.

Kerry won’t lose his seat. But he should step down. Anybody who watched an American citizen being tortured in front of him and did nothing doesn’t deserve to be in office.

Even Rumsfeld told the cops who were about to drag Ray McGovern out to let him stay.

71. Hair Club for Men - 18 September 2007

Best analysis of the situation I’ve read thus far. How dare a peasant speak in that way to one of the nobility? Taser the oaf and show him his place.

Well this has been going on for awhile.

Seattle, Prague, DC, Genoa, Quebec City, the RNC protests, every time the elite get together for a little private conference the peasants always line up to try to disrupt it and get pounced on by the police.

And the Vichy liberals always, always defend the state.

72. marisacat - 18 September 2007

73. Hair Club for Men - 18 September 2007

BTW, anybody see this?

Iowa Democrats Exclude Kucinich & Gravel From Events
Meanwhile Congressman Dennis Kucinich has accused Democratic Party leaders in Iowa of excluding him from two presidential events this week. On Sunday six of the Democratic candidates were invited to speak to over 12,000 Democratic voters at Senator Tom Harkin’s Steak Fry. But Kucinich and former Senator Mike Gravel were not invited. They also weren’t invited to a recent Democratic presidential forum in Davenport Iowa. Kucinich said: “When Party leaders and their allies pre-select which candidates they will allow the voters to hear, it’s a disservice to the voters. Iowans deserve better than a rigged game.”

74. antihegemonic - 18 September 2007

Are you surprised? And notice how all the big boy bloggers at Daily Kos and Swing State have been pushing a primary challenger for Kucinich’s House seat. Paul Hackett, they gushed, endorsed the challenger.

Welcome to the Open Left, where machine politicians undermine those outside of the club through under the table exchanges that occur in backrooms. And bloggers just do their bidding. But even worse, those steamrolled by that apparatus will do it to. Just look at Paul Hackett.

imho, kerry had a perfect opportunity to take a stand for liberty and a citizens right to dissent.

he, of all those in the hall could have intervened, but didn’t. instead we get Genovese syndrome.

americans have the right to resist unlawful arrest. there’s case law reflecting that. and tasers are only to be used in self defence. a college kid on the floor with multiple cops on top of him is hardly a danger requiring the use of potentially deadly force.

what about tyranny don’t they get?

Sorry to be Elise like… My band just did a really kick-ass video shoot tonight, where we actually had the entire staff being called in to check us out – it’s for a new ‘unsigned band’ site that is launching around Oct. 1 which has some serious NY money behind it.

I’m jaded enough to know that this is stupid, but I’m also fucking ecstatic with what happened tonight.

Congrats ms x!

Poor pony boy is now alleging that people are trying to “out” him (a la DD “I outed myself and now you’re doing it too! Waaah!). What a fool.

To me this is a perfect illustration. (0.00 / 1)
People here are calling me names, ATTEMPTING to out me, telling me not to post here and tearing apart every possible thing they can.

They want to destroy me right?

Why?

What does that accomplish? What gets done? What gets built?

These folks are PERFECTLY illustrating that the only thing they enjoy and are capable of is destruction. Tearing stuff down and setting it on fire.

As soon as anyone DARES try to build something, they become the enemy. Every fault must be found every limit challenged every opportunity to tear me down taken.

They want to prove that I am a baaaaad person.

Why?

I tell them I am not perfect and they tear me down for that

why?

But we are supposed to let people like hrh and devore in, so instead of just gossiping and attacking me here hey can destroy from the inside too.

How does that make sense?

106. D. Throat - 19 September 2007

I have noticed two MOs being used to cover their right wing agenda (is stifle dissent”:

1. “Fuck Bush!!!”…. who the fuck cares the guy is leaving in a few months. The real motto should be “Fuck the Appeasers”. This goes back to Simon Rosenberg’s NDN “think tank” based meme that “The Left just wants to be Rowdy”… and no issues or ideology needed. Buhdy and OPOL have changed their MOs to “Let’s get Rowdy”…. no more mention of Impeachment, issues and ideologies.

2. Emerging MO is “Let’s be Green”... environmentally speaking only not politically of course… even the Pope has tried to masked his misogyny and bigotry in a cloak of Green…. I guess that is the “safest” way to connect to the young…. far be it for the Pope to actually join the Anti War movement…. millions of lives killed after birth are of no consequence. So I laughed my head of when I see Turkana and Jay Elias trying to infiltrate the left under the cover of green….

“Yell louder in Green and shut the hell up about everything else….”

Who do they think they are kidding?????

i haven’t created a problem (3.00 / 3)

mattes has.

one of the consistent problems, on the p side, is an inability to take responsibility. people continue to lie about why shergald was banned from dk, and why hunter ended up having to ban all sorts of people. it was not about the politics.

and, yes- there is fighting. but it is too inflammatory, and it is too hateful. it becomes a reflective microcosm of the real conflict. it is not helpful.

i remember, when oslo was signed, watching an interview with suha arafat, who was her usual absurd self; but one woman in her entourage said something very encouraging. she said that she understood that she would not personally get justice and retribution for what she had suffered; but she said she understood that she had to accept that, that there were people on both sides who would have to accept that, that there would be no peace, otherwise.

you want to write that diary, go ahead. make a habit of it, and we have problems. if such gets on the rec list on a regular basis, we have problems (it doesn’t take much to hit the rec list, at this point).

i would much rather that you, mattes, keith moon (who, as far as i know, hasn’t registered here), and everyone else would do some soul-searching and figure out what exactly you think you’re accomplishing. i wish you would all think about the continued suffering of the palestinians and israelis, and the cycle of violence. i wish you’d all think about how they are ever going to move forward if all the world hears is a cacophony of accusations and blame. you want to actually be a voice for peace, then stop demonizing and start thinking about what peace is, and how we get two belligerents to get there.

This is a DHinMI blog… that is who is pulling the strings and banning. This is the jist of what Dh said during the bombing of Lebanon…. “Why can’t these people just get it thru their thick head and accept the fact that they have lost… instead of provoking us to kill their children”

Only DH has the power to tell Armando to hide in the shadows these past days… cuz we all know Buhdy is just a “Librul Lefty Front”.

117. liberalcatnip - 19 September 2007

Channeling MSOC, as mcat has pointed out: it’s just too “painful” to discuss.

You, Turkana are an example of exactly what’s wrong with The Avoiders. You want to pretend that you’re all concerned about the so-called peace process but you don’t want to discuss REALITY. How the fuck can you talk about peace when you refuse to talk about the fighting and what’s causing it?

No doubt you don’t have a problem going on and on about the Iraq war or the GWOT without forcing yourself to inject a compulsory “peace” message into each post, right? Because, and pay attention here Turkana, if you don’t, you’re nothing but a hypocrite for demanding that when someone posts about the I/P issues. You’re scared of them. Period.

119. lucid - 19 September 2007

you want to actually be a voice for peace, then stop demonizing and start thinking about what peace is

So does that include a recognition of Zionist [European] barbarity in the region since the ’40’s? Does that include reparations? Does that include recognizing Jerusalem as an international city again? Does that include recognizing water rights in the region? Does that include not slaughtering Palestinian men, women and children on a daily basis regardless of whether or not they might be fighting an occupying power?

Or is ‘peace’ simply a code word for ‘get the fuck out of ‘Greater Israel’, or we’ll show you the fucking door with a cap in your ass.’

120. D. Throat - 19 September 2007

People like Turkana and Jay Elias were operatives from the get go. The only way to “con” people is to get their “confidence”… you can not con a person who doesn’t trust you.

That is why people are feeling betrayed…. and rightly so… but it also must be said…. that this is their JOB…. so they really had to work hard at conning you.

121. marisacat - 19 September 2007

DH will use anyone and anything to get what he wants. He has obviously FINALLY tamed Armando …. I guess a year left out in the outhouse has made him “come to his senses”. Kos could not control Armando… but someone has been able to tell him to shut up these last days and go low profile…. that is NOT Armando… he would have been on a rip roaring tear thru those threads.

Armando was NEVER kicked off the reservation… DHinMI took over the “Slave Master’s house” and Armando was left to oversee the “field niggers”.

I also think we are looking in the wrong place… perhaps Armando really power comes from the GOP… and he just restated… he is the only “Dem” in his family…. yunno…. “BIPARTISANSHIP”…. and all.

124. lucid - 19 September 2007

D. Throat – you can go back through my diaries there – Turkana & I were good friends [as far as blog definitions go]. We never discussed I/P issues.

125. D. Throat - 19 September 2007

I do not doubt you…. but you would be surprised how long operatives will wait to set you up. Like I said it is a confidence game… and perhaps you were “picked” because of your “profile”…. as someone they would like to “know”…

129- I’m a fan, and as yet unashamed to admit it. Will I have new reasons to question my own and others’ sanity? Oh joy!

look (0.00 / 0)

you and i have had strong disagreements, but we’ve never had major problems. you’re welcome to criticize me over this, but you look at the discussion at peeder’s and you realize that some of these people are just nuts. that’s part of the problem. i have no desire to waste time appeasing them. i’ve seen what they do to sites. mlw is a ghost town, now. if you don’t trust me on my reasons for suspecting mattes, that’s fine. i won’t say more than i have.

as for censorship and the entire topic: again, if people really care about the palestinians, if they really want an israel that can live in peace and be a peaceful neighbor, and they really want to discuss how that can happen, they are welcome here. blame and acrimony and hate-mongering is not going to get there. judging from the comments at other sites, some people think that anyone who doesn’t hate israel is aipac or something else nefarious, anyway. they’re never going to be part of constructive dialogues.

call it censorship if you like, but i think it’s actually an attempt to change the entire tone and direction of the online discussion. no one wants to talk about peace. they say i’m afraid of dialogue, fine. i think they’re afraid to talk about peace. hatred is easy and doesn’t require any thought. peace is not and does. how about we have a breakthrough, and start writing about what a fair two-state resolution would be, and how we get from here to there?

the glory, the love, the madness.

Turkana and group should quit hating and criticizing Dick Cheney and George Bush….and all will be well….there will be peace in the world.
He is a liar…he has no proof, because there isn’t any.

i do not want a date with her. i just think she should be humiliated and exposed. by the way, i am a woman.

I suppose it is barely possible that you’re female. Nevertheless I completely agree with Bay about your comments here. You seem obsessive and deeply creepy and have managed to make Elise a sympathetic figure. (a feat in itself)

May I suggest that you post at My Left Wing? Emsock’s very accepting of posters who sexually insult women she dislikes. Figure out who she dislikes and you’ll be in like Flynn.
