Wow, I go away for a while and come back to find some very silly “news”. What’s the deal with this uproar over the Palin teen-pregnancy stuff? She’s militantly pro-life, so why is it such an outrage that her teenage daughter is going to give birth? That’s perfectly consistent with Palin’s position.
The way I would attack Palin on this is to ask if her daughter’s pregnancy occurred because she’s raising her kids to believe that girls are created by God to be babyfactories and should put family before education and careers. This angle hasn’t come up in the liberal critiques of Palin, at least the ones I’ve seen.
The thing I disapprove of is their choice of kids’ names. Track? Trig? Bristol? There are imaginative and creative kids’ names, and then there are “dumb-as-a-bag-of-hammers” kids’ names.

Something about local things, the school board, etc. but very little national (i.e., bullshit fearmongering agitprop) news. I was listening to it for two weeks and never heard a word about the political conventions or Hurricane Gustav.
oh we have classical and excellent jazz stations.. as well.
I tuned into local talk radio over the course of hte primary to see what is “out there”. Basically it s Dem whip work, but at least the callers can enunciate. Unlike call in to Cpsan.. which is very embarrassing in terms of ability to speak with any fluency.
