I did receive an online petition from Rethink Afghanistan, a group that seems opposed to expanded war, though strictly from a domestic angle, since numerous Americans aren’t interested in how continual bombing affects those on the business end. But even this meek approach can’t shake pro-Obama feelings among the faithful. “Staunching the flow of American blood and treasure into the Afghanistan war will be essential to the success of the Obama presidency and to getting our economy back on track.”
Yes. The real tragedy of this imperial war is how it keeps the Obama administration from succeeding, which clearly is the main priority among liberal patriots. …

I see one thing she is pushing is “walking ot school when you can”…….. which is just so perky of her. Esp as more and more school districts drop the school bus system or charge per month for the service. One district here charges over 700.00 (per school year) if you want your child on the school bus.
In th end … whatever.
I hated being burdened by Bush – all the Bushes… and I hate being burdened by the Obamas and their scams.
So easy to do when the school is miles away, or if there are no safe sidewalks, or and etc.

Thru the swirling sex rumors about Paterson there has been quiet mention of a shady deal to do with the Aqueduct … sorta like far to the side of the previous governor’s sex swirl…was the much more interesting issue of co mingled monies, his and the Mob behind the escort biz. And how the only figure mentioned that he was supposed to have spent on frequent use of high priced company was 80K. Which at the price advertised would be all of 16 “dates”.

This is his same misdirection bs, the TARP losses were “less than anticipated”. The TARP was the smallest piece of the financial rescue package – mostly emergency capital injections until these companies could tap financial markets and pay them back.
On the same day, Freddie Mac to buy out all seriously delinquent loans.
These loans that they’re buying out are owned as securities by the financial sector, most likely they are buying them out at full value so the holders: banks, hedge funds, and whatnot, won’t take any losses.
To boot, I’m presuming that the regulations mentioned in the article mean that Freddie is now holding these loans to maturity, so they won’t have to write down much, even though the value of these loans is probably zero. When you include Fannie, who probably will make a similar announcement soon, losses on these loans could eventually be in the trillions. They’ll all be paid by Uncle Sam.
In related news, apparently the FDIC is shoveling money to hedge funds to buy them out at full value too. The Great Highway Robbery Continues
