US Marine Corps Major Nathan Miller flies his F/A-18 Blue Angel No.5 jet in position near Sean Tucker’s Oracle Challenger bi-plane over San Francisco Bay [AP]

Hosanna. Blasting over us since Thursday. It should end close of tomorrow. George Bush Sr, currently a famously weak pretzel but undergoing slow and subtle resuscitation, canceled the Blue Angels in ’90 due to the economy.

If only. Pity a truly wretched economy didn’t merit cancellation this year.

Moving my own comment forward… since, you know, the so called Liberal Pols, fakes like Ob, luv to come to San Francisco/Bay Area for MONEY, but they all feel the same way about us. Fringe Loons on the loose.   God knows why.  We are a wide mix.

Very funny…

John Harwood on NBC evening news saying because the Pretzel retains NINETY percent approval from Dems [mmm does he?]…. he regards gays and others who complain as “the far left internet fringe”… and an aide said to Harwood, that group should “get out of their pajamas and out of their parents’ basement and into the Real World”.

It all sounds so familiar. Cheney et al are aides to Ob?

Shorter Harwood on Ob: I got my peepsheeps I don’t need you freaks.

 …. what a scream!!!

Tom Englehardt has some pointed commentary about all the blither lately on what the WH is studiously (because they are fucking students and NOT ADULTS, imo) reading to “learn” about Vietnam….

If it’s a Vietnam syllabus you’re looking for, President Obama, why not start with The Best and the Brightest, David Halberstam’s brilliant dissection of the Vietnam disaster? Having covered Vietnam as a New York Times reporter, he knew a bankrupt war when he saw one. Or why not consider what an American “counterinsurgency” war really meant on the ground? Nothing will give you a more visceral sense of the destruction visited on Vietnam and the Vietnamese in those grim years than Jonathan Schell’s double-barreled classic The Real War. (Why doesn’t anyone in your administration ask Schell, who saw the worst of that war close up, for advice on our new “Vietnam moment”?)

Oh that would be too easy! Like actually looking at the early stages of collapse of the MASS plan for Health Care.  Besides Schell is a weak nellie where Ob is concerned.  He’d drool and stammer “Yessir!”.  Useless!

And here is a big bite in the ass of the students in the WH:

Not long ago, your special representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Richard Holbrooke, picked up a phone in Kabul and called Stanley Karnow, who got a Pulitzer Prize for his 1983 middle-of-the-road, one-volume history of the war.

We don’t know how that consultation — in the presence of Afghan war commander General Stanley McChrystal — went, but Karnow did offer this comment to an AP reporter later:

“What did we learn from Vietnam? We learned that we shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Obama and everybody else seem to want to be in Afghanistan, but not I.”

March on little political chickie babies, thru the blood of others.

Looks like Aravosis and Pam Spaulding caught the NBC evening news too…

[S]o the gay community, and its concerns about President Obama’s inaction, and backtracking, on DADT and DOMA, are now, according to President Obama’s White House, part of a larger “fringe” that acts like small children who play in their pajamas and need to grow up. (And a note to our readers: The White House just included all of you in that loony “left fringe.”)

I wonder how the Human Rights Campaign is going to explain how the White House just knifed our community less than 24 hours after he went to their dinner and claimed he was our friend. …

Of course Aravosis was one who jollied them along after McClurkin (they shoulda gotten it!)… I don’t know where PS was over that.

Aravosis adds this from Pam:

[S]o which Barack Obama is it — the one who said to challenge him, or a fragile flower that panders to LGBTs then has a coward source backstab? To me the WH has just declared war on us after a wine and dine with the right kind of LGBTs that don’t make trouble for them. Someone has to answer to this. . . . . .

Oh honeee, Ob doesn’t like you much. He never did.

And Aravosis thinks “someone should be fired”.

Pretty funny.

Even funnier… the WH feels it has been “misled” by the AHIP, America’s Health Insurance Plans.

Weep for them.

Look for this on the Hill as early as Monday: A report commissioned by America’s Health Insurance Plans alleging that the Senate Finance Committee legislation would cause health care costs to go up faster than under the current system.

The report, which was conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, has caused some buzz among Hill GOP aides. It was described to Pulse by a person familiar with the findings. (UPDATE: Here it is.)

The report will drop ahead of a crucial vote on the bill Tuesday in the Finance Committee, and could figure into the discussion there. . . . . .

A negative report from insurers is likely to infuriate progressives, whose distrust of the industry drives their push for the government insurance option.

UPDATE: An administration official called. The White House isn’t happy.

AHIP chief Karen Ignagni met with White House and Senate Finance officials last week, and she said they were “a ways away from doing an analysis,” the official said. “There is a feeling among White House officials that they were misled.” . . . . .

The people in the Wh sound like a naive lunatic fringe version of politicians, to me (hahahaha!). FAKES… stupid white boys with a black man fronting for them.

LAT popped up with it…

[A]dministration officials, who spent much of the spring and summer wooing the insurers, questioned the timing and authorship of the report, which was prepared by PricewaterhouseCoopers and paid for by America’s Health Insurance Plans, an industry trade group.

“Those guys specialize in tax shelters,” said Nancy-Ann DeParle, director of the White House Office of Health Reform. “Clearly this is not their area of expertise.”

At the same time, White House officials were forced to retreat from plans to tout Republican endorsements of Obama’s top domestic policy initiative. White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel instructed the Democratic National Committee on Sunday to withdraw a pro-overhaul television commercial featuring former Sen. Robert Dole (R-Kan.) after Dole objected that it was being used for partisan purposes.

The developments came as administration officials were beginning to boast of momentum in the drive to remake the nation’s $2.4-trillion health sector. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) has expressed confidence that he has the votes to pass his 10-year, $829-billion legislation out of committee Tuesday, letting party leaders prepare a bill for floor debate. . . . . .

hmmm Dow 10,000 later this week… and Ob sends……………. less than 40K but a lot. Some flowery language with that tedious intonation he lobs.

So predictable. So dull.

..So given to cooking the books, too.

Maybe no one will notice the fraud.
The m.o. of his presidence like thing.
It’s got us this far, right?

Well…far right…..is about it:
Maybe no one will notice that this corporate Corporal Obama has his orders and is escalating the war. ..sitting large ground forces on the plains at the western base of the Himalayas…Maybe AQ and the Taliban won’t notice either. Or a 170 million Pakistanis.

Maybe no one will notice the fraud of “Health Care Reform” ,,
or, uh, .that there’s no jobs in this heya “recovery” that they’re saying is now underway..Or That he’s letting the banks and corporations do what they will…
Or ..or..or..and so forth…..

…that a cementitious narrative is setting around his tap dancing feet..that he is inconsequential. I think the Nobel has actually damaged his rep as it gave people pause to ref-examine it…

…as did the SNL treatment (tho they went lightly this past weekend…) These things, pieces on the periphery perhaps….but the issues are not. People are tired of the war, and resent being crushed in an economy that serves the politically catered to few…..I think the picture is coming clearer into view for those of otherwise neutral disposition….

If I could crack into the WH Political Ops, I’d have them going for a sweep of the Cannes Film Festival next year followed by a road trip touting it throughout our inter mountain West. Surely that would go over well. They’ll need some insane road show to distract from the snuff film Obama and his “Commanders on the Ground” are producing overseas.

Interesting that the support troop numbers get mentioned again, just now.

If they don’t win VA and NJ the chatter increases.

Greenwald on slurs from this so civil WH:

[J]ust this weekend, a “top gay Democrat close to Obama” was granted anonymity by Politico to dismiss administration critics on gay issues as “naive.”

Just six weeks ago, an equally cowardly “senior White House adviser” hiding behind anonymity told told The Washington Post that the only people who cared about the public option in health care were “the left of the left” — those same fringe, irrational extremists.

In June, an anonymous “friend of John Brennan’s” told Jane Mayer in The New Yorker that the people who prevented Brennan’s nomination as CIA Director (because of his support for some of the most radical Bush Terrorism policies) were nothing more than “a few Cheeto-eating people in the basement working in their underwear who write blogs.”

Last year, “Democrats on the Hill” anonymously dismissed opposition to telecom immunity and warrantless eavesdropping as nothing more than a fringe issue being exploited by Chris Dodd for his presidential campaign, and then anonymously warned Dodd to abandon his left-wing obstructionism if he wanted to resume good standing in the Democratic caucus. Can anyone miss the pattern? . . . .

I missed the “cheeto eating” one.

Greenwald seems to think it was from Rahm, as one reads to the end of hsi entry. 😆 Wake up and smell the pretzel, is what I say.
