In the last thread, Madman linked to a John Caruso post at Tiny Revolution… http://www.tinyrevolution.com/mt/
😆 I just made it there to read:
hmmm They so deserve their pensions! And their health care! And everything else!
Ah yes… and just how is that vote for working for ya?
Via Angry Arab:
As’ad links to this.. and while I can hardly stand to read anythning about the wars, by now… it is worth it…
The horror of the anthropologists and psychologists deep in the war theatre has been reported, thsi is a good update…
Also at Angry Arab… what was that bout hearts and minds……. again?
That Picture above. 😆
What are they Selling?
Who? Creme Rinse and Sodomy? Those two?
Are there only two choices?
Jeezis. Biden. LMAO – just look at that Hee Haw motherfucker –
Maybe they are selling mouth gargle.
Dental work?? Those two have apparently had PLENTY! On our dime of course…..
I have a pay-as-you-go deal with my dentist, since I’m not insured for dental. If I have actual work I go in and get the dental care done. Sadly, this still got me through last year ahead of the game, compared to what paying for the coverage would have cost. I would have had to pay for coverage every month but I was only in pain enough to need a dental visit once in all of 2009.
In an emergency, I could theoretically apply for that nasty 23% credit card that’s meant only for medical and dental expenses. I forget its name, but I’m pretty sure at some point it will become a jail-worthy offense to run up bills on those things with no real ability to pay. I mean, we’ll be halfway there once the stupid-ass “reform” bill passes, so…
Cripes! That’s a creepy picture. It looks like Biden’s last known photo.
I thought it was a scream!

Hi CF…
sorry your comment was in Moderation.. I have it set so all new first time comments go to Mod. It keeps spam under control.
Nice to see you drop in… 😉
thanks for having me!
It’s gonna be a historic day in the history of historic history on historic Sunday…or something.
And, if you don’t believe that: you’re racist!
haha
Reid Promises Separate Public Option Vote In Next Few Months
Sure. And I “promise” to give Harry a lap dance.
that is actually funny…
Okay. Ummm…what?
Kind of reminds me of the counting of the holy hand grenade.
Soon to be soup!
Hi all — a tent is going up in the backyard! Yay Friday! 😉
Got a houseful of kids and am done with most of my work for the week! Yiiiiippppie!
Oh, and it IS historic ’cause I’ve got them cleaning up the backyard! LOL!
Weekend!
Yiiipppie wouldn’t exactly be my reaction to a houseful of kids. 🙂
But you guys have fun!
Understandable, catnip — and believe me, if it weren’t for the trampoline and the tent, which are in the back yard, my reaction might be much more muted! 🙂
I’m just hoping the rain stays away until tomorrow! heh.
Trampolines are definitely kid magnets. Lots of those in these parts and some kids across the way were out on theirs a couple of weeks ago here – which speaks to the fact that global warming really does exist. 🙂
Yeah, the kids thought I bought that trampoline as a birthday present for THEM — heh, it was for me, because boys, well, they do literally bounce off walls! 😉
More proof that global warming exists is the fact that the low tonight here, in Austin, will be 30 degrees — good thing they slept out there LAST night! (Although I was awoken by a mad dash into the house at 6:30 am because of wind rain and thunderstorms…it was kinda cute actually!)
oh I was totally not into sports, but I did like trampolines. And tents in teh garden. Even in a part of my bedrooom…
You had a trampoline in your bedroom?
k3wl
nooo… no… but at some point I did have a small tent in my room…as a sort of play place…
I don’t know where he was – if it was tape today or yesterday from GMU, but a stray shot on Lehrer ti was clear, everyone pushed to the front and tons of empty seats, once it was seating on the risers.
Good luck.
😆
I think this is making Lemonade from Lemons.
So little grist for the mill….
Sheesh. Can he get his nose any further up Obama’s ass?
HA! There was a manager and a sub manager at my law firm.. and my private joke used to be that the tongue in the manager’s mouth belonged to the sub manager.
Same with Ben and Barry.

BTW, apropos of nothing but I read that Ob’s hits on his Satruday message to the assembled farm animals gets about 4,000 hits. Four thousand.
I think screaming babies on Utube get more. Hell probably a Utube on diaper changing gets more.
UN chief Ban Ki-moon demands Israel settlements halt
That’s nice. Now what is the UN going to do about it? Pass yet another resolution that the Israeli gov’t will ignore? What a tired game it all is.
I like Gideon Levy, but if he thinks Obama’s going to come charging in on his white horse to save Israel from itself, he:
a) knows nothing about the Spelunker-in-Chief’s addiction to caving
and
b) had better not be holding his breath.
LOLling forever at “Spelunker-In-Chief.” 😀
Jonathan Alter – not that I have much use for him, but:
Let’s see if Rahm rebuts that. I doubt it.
“A few weeks after the first family got a dog, Rahm Emanuel ripped into Bo, whose household accidents were consuming valuable presidential time in cleanups.”
taht’s ridiculous… there si household staff and in fact there is a MAN on staff, still at the WH who has cared for the presidential dogs (and whatever else) thru several administrations. However he has been forbidden to speak to the press by this FF.
They all need to get over themselves.
After so much coddling of that asshole, I have a hard time believing this:
Dem Leaders Prepare To Move Forward Without Stupak
and
😆
Last night there were headlines he would be considered… he and his wording.
All they do is produce a headline a day, then the reverse the next.
I do believe we scraped bottom with Obster selling thsi terrible bill as “like Civil Rights”.
Tells you how much, that was grudgingly given to start with, let’s not kid ourselves, is dying in front of us.
Ob in the WH and most schools fully segregating again.
Hey, it all works out in the end, for the white owners.
the manipulation is pretty amazing, isn’t it? If only they’d put half the effort into doing stuff that they put into PR they might actually accomplish something.
speaking of the fucking authoritarians… Pope Says “Sorry” and not much more. I hope no one is too too shocked. More than a few defenders in the thread at Times Online.
They’ve go the full text from the old pederast himself… 😆
👿 … 😈 and of course: 😳
hmmm he is dismayed and disturbed. The makings of high comedy.
whoops…now the Swiss confess they have a problem with Catholic abuse… at a monastery.
Whoops.
And a bit farther down, shades of a scene frm Kubrick:
And again from Kung:
Sturm und Drang… til the next expose……………………..
Maybe Hans Kung might have the last laugh,
Although if he were really sensible, he would take all his books and appropriately modify them with “NOT” (e.g. Why I am still a christian .. NOT)
yeah all of these people just keep on hanging in there………
I read about Keung years ago in National Catholic dot org. He is for a modern church (whatever that might be). Ain’t gonna happen.
I s u p p o s e the argument can be made that the church would be soemthing else if it modernised it views on sexuality, birth control, infallibility of the pope’s words – and everything else..
But gee, waht would ti be then?
Don’t forget the Aussies:
Apparently cases are now popping up in Florence and Rome. Accordng to the article I linked above. Quelle Shocque.
Oha nd I love how lunatic liberals (it does seem to be coming from the L end of the looney dial) are running around like chickens saying that celibacy is the cause of the problem.
Yikes. No …. it’s not the cause of pedophilia and child abuse (of various types) in the church.
Then the only problem would be masses of the faithfull of the female sort being seduced…….. LOL. Sorry!!

I saw Constance on Ellen’s show on Friday. Ellen was going to offer to foot the bill for a private prom but Constance wants a school prom – in her school- because that’s what she’s fighting for. Ellen via some company sponsor gave her a $30,000 cheque for her college tuition.
This isn’t some loud, activist type of kid. She’s very shy. Her dad was there to support her.
When she asked her principal if she could wear a tux instead of a dress to the prom, that answer was “no” because (slippery slope ahead) what if some guy wanted to wear a dress? WTF is wrong with some people? Seriously.
and you know, next people will want to marry horses. So JD Hayworth says down AZ way……………..
she seems pretty well-centered.
I splurged and got a really good bottle of Red earlier today. It was easier writing my latest healthcare-for-nobody rant knowing what a great reward was waiting for me when I was done. 😀
Ampersand is making an ass of himself defending Obamacare over on Alas. Though I’m amused that his opponent is from Blue Oregon. Last time I checked, they still had a three workrooms full of nothing but Nader effigies and torches, so I wouldn’t have expected it. Maybe since DeFazio of Oregon is demurring for a few token moments about endorsement, some of the poor dears are a just the teensiest bit conflicted.
Temping is killing my back, but it helped pay for the wine, so… :p
Good to see you’re working – and drunk. 🙂
If only a single bottle of decent Red could do that………… 😉
Actually, I only had one glass last night. Wartime rationing, doncha’ know…
Caught the new cat trying to scoop bits of leftover pasta out of the kitchen sink, too. Luckily we don’t have a garbage disposal. Also, he likes to jump up in the air and attack Butterscotch’s tail. She is not at ALL impressed with this. It’s pretty damn funny.
Wartime rationing?
If you need nylons, let me know.
It’s Crazy Catsville around here. I have my male cat – the roommate/landlord has a male cat and there are now 4 visiting cats who hang out outside – all different personalities. Quite the bunch. The mice around here don’t stand a chance.
Baby used to love pasta… I always made her a tiny dish of a few bits…
[grin]
Sid is also a bread-eater. (So was Walter, back in the day.) And this morning he pounced on a spatula that had onion-flavored cream cheese on it– apparently having missed the bulletin that cats are allergic to plants in the Allium family (? genus?), including onions.
oh I did not know that about onions… I had to stop buying Rosemary Chicken from a market in my neighborhood… from the rotisserie section. No rosemary for baby, she disliked it enought o refuse the chicken.. and I always fed her some fo the roast chicken… Obviously not nooz that cats like chicken.
Actually, I should’ve said that Allium is poisonous to cats. mr_xeno has a great snapshot somewhere of the late great Walter knawing on an onion that he found on the counter. Thankfully, it still had its skin on.
Fresh rosemary when I clip it in the yard always reminds me a little of citrus skin: that “oily” sharp aroma. Not surprising if most cats would reject it.

from another thread:
Yes, I believe it was Jesus in MarkUp 20:10 who said, “And thou shalt buy junk insurance from mega-corporations under the penalty of a fine or thou shalt be cast out of the party forever.”
Out of the party and into prison.
If I have to share my cell with “Yoshimi,” they’d better make damn sure they get that last shoelace, drawstring, or belt away from me before they lock me in. That’s all I can say.
MarkUp 20:10 Very good!
Then of course there is Pederasty 1:1
And the Book of Revulsions.
The Book of Revisions.
I bet the Dems were squealing in Joy (Book of Squeals) they got racial and other epithets out of the tea nuttiers… Seems to be John Lewis’ biggest job lately.
TeacherKen… on the take.
nothing to see here, move along:
ABC’s “This Week” – Reps. Eric Cantor, R-Va., and John Larson, D-Conn.; David Plouffe, former Obama presidential campaign manager; Karl Rove, former George W. Bush adviser.
CBS’ “Face the Nation” – Reps. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., and Chris Van Hollen, D-Md.; Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.; Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.
NBC’s “Meet the Press” – House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio; House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md.; Tim Kaine, chairman of the Democratic National Committee; Michael Steele, chairman of the Republican National Committee; Anita Dunn, former Obama White House communications director; Ed Gillespie, former Bush White House counselor.
NBC’s “The Chris Matthews Show” – Panel: Howard Fineman, Kelly O’Donnell, Michele Norris, Michael Duffy. Topics: After health care, how do Democrats avoid a blowout in the midterms? How liberal can Obama’s next Supreme Court nominee be? Should Obama Move To the Center Instead of the Left As A Reelection Strategy? YES: 11 NO: 1; Will “Repeal Health Care” Be A Winning Slogan For Republicans This Fall? YES: 5 No: 7.
CNN’s “State of the Union” – Sens. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.; Reps. Larson and Mike Pence, R-Ind.
CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS” – Fareed holds a discussion about Israel and what its ambassador to Washington calls the crisis in its relations with the United States of America. We’re joined by Mort Zuckerman who just met with Prime Minister Netanyahu (for one of their mutual masturbation sessions around photos of firebombed Palestinians, no doubt) , and Martin Indyk, who has served as Ambassador to Israel twice and ran the Middle East division at the State Department as well as the National Security Council. Plus, Michael Lewis has returned to his original love (or hate) — Wall Street. He has a new book out on the financial crisis and some very provocative ideas about Wall Street as a dying empire.
“Fox News Sunday” – Reps. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla.; Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.
Brrreaking: MSNBC reporting that Stupak is a yes vote (maybe, kind of).
CNN is saying he’s still a no.
Popcorn.
I read Obster is doing an EO to make Stupak happy. I read that in one of my briefly awake periods during this morning, will see if I can find it.
So now we lock in abortion language even tighter, from the pen of Spelunker in Chief.
If he had a clue, he’d know that an EO isn’t even necessary since you guys have the Hyde amendment. And I understand that an EO can just be rescinded anyway so what’s the point? Last minute theatrics, afaic.
Now Stupak is planning yet another presser today – this one at 4 ET. He canceled one earlier.
Or should I say: he aborted one earlier.
The theatrics Dems go through to choke this stuff down is hilarious. There was a poster on LJ a few weeks ago, supposedly pro-choice, shrieking about how we were all whiny bitches who should shut up about ABORTION because HER FRIEND needs help FIGHTING CANCER NOW!!!111
Yeah, Lady. Let me know how much of a crowbar your friend will be able to stick in his/her wallet come 2013. If they live that long. Maybe they can get good chemo in jail, if those short-sighted, self-absorbed, uteri-possessing bitches don’t suck up all the cells first. Huzzah.
lotta people are going to be very shocked as they continue to be denied coverage. For years. And then, come the big dates of 2013, 2014 and for somethings 2018!, imo it will never change.
Nothing in this changes the system.
Amp is reduced to asking the Blue Oregon dissenter what have YOU ever done for universal healthcare anyway?? [whiiiiiiiiiiine]
Christ. Nothing sadder than watching good people transformed into shambling zombies because their brains can’t comprehend that a shit plan peddled by a “nice guy” is still a shit plan.
yes all the thuggism they keep at hand, has come out over Health Care.
IMO it’s been ugly — and for a hideous sell out bill. That will change nothing and in fact, cancel out whatever little hope there ever was for universal coverage and reform of the system.
Wasn’t ever going to happen anyway……….
Yes the Hyde amendment would have to be overturned and it never will be. Ever.
Oh my guess is they are planning more restricted language for an EO. And no R will ever overturn it.
Ob, flew as a liberal to idiots and he is a black born-again church folk.
Lucky us.
fwiw: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34767.html
Drama queen.
He thinks he’s some sort of Shakespearean character now?
CNN just read from the WH press release that there will be an EO with “additional restrictions”. Hmmm…
they were always going to use it to slip something by… imo anyway.
Text of the order.
So, all of this happened because the senate fucked up the bill in its rush to make it a xmas present?
