Oh, not bad — trying to figure out how I’m going to cram and extra 20-30 hours into my weeks, as my student teaching assignment came through (starts the 5th) …I can’t sleep too much less, so it’s gonna be a crazed next coupla months! But I’m excited and doing well! Boy the larger has been walking around the house without his brace — he even walked all the way out to the car on Friday before he realized he didn’t have it on (he still need to wear it to school) — so far so great with the leg!

I was angry with myself that I let several bank cards lapse… a few years ago. Esp when either Safeway or BofA hiccuped and had a snafu with my debit card (I told myself, I could have put it on a card rather than talk to Safeway talk to Bank and reorder the following day, what a pain!). But then, or so I read, if you make an ”unusual” charge unlike your earlier history, like start paying for groceries withi your credit card, they now take note, you get flagged and they start to consider you a possible problems.
Geesh too much stress to live according to THEIR views.
Between new requirements to use a card to the tune of 2500.00 a year… agree to this agree to that.. fees for low or no usage, fees for thsi or that, 20 – 30% interest…. what a nightmare!
Yes, nightmare describes it exactly! And thanks to the credit card “reform” I now get inane things on my statements like the following (no, I am not kidding!):

Stuff like this makes me believe more and more that the rush to kick Alan Hevesi (NY’s former comptroller) out of office had more to do with covering the tracks of something bigger than with any righteous desire for removing bad eggs from clean government, which was all the rage in our fair state around early 2007. More has come out about NY pension investment shenanigans, in dribs and drabs, but it’s a lot easier to keep the story under control when you just do a show trial-by-public-opinion.

But it is NOT new. Been going on for years… and drs well in at certain hsoptials will be cleaning up.
