So, I will carry my last comment forward… 😉
[N]oam Chomsky says that the teabaggers are proof of the left’s weakness and failure. If so, it’s been a long time coming. Ever since liberals embraced the corporate statism of Bill Clinton, working and poor people left behind and trampled are less and less a liberal concern, to the degree they ever truly were. Professional liberals possess very little class consciousness, save for those in the upper tiers who understand and accept how the game is played. The rest of us are pretty much on our own.
At least the teabaggers are in the streets, battling for their perceived interests. Liberals are more obedient at the moment, applauding or overlooking policies they would jeer and protest if a Repub president oversaw the scene. Liberals decry possible teabagger violence, but do nothing about the killing machine operated by Obama. Despite some mild dissent, most liberals are still very much in love with Their President and want him to succeed (one of The Nation’s main worries).
What “success” means to them is subjective, since objectively, Obama faithfully serves those with real power, while keeping his followers in check. Not that he has to do much to keep them quiescent. If that’s not success, I don’t know what is.

I received an odd and not too friendly seeming email today from someone I hadn’t heard from in ages, and felt forced to delete it for fear the odd link (no note included) was something unpleasant. Though I haven’t noticed them posting anywhere for quite awhile, the only connection I could make was that something I posted here, ticked them off, since I haven’t posted anywhere else for years, and I’ve never dissed them or had any bad feelings about them.
It hurt, but I’m not seeing any difference between the Obama or Bush regimes at the end of the day, and if criticizing Obama et al, warrants that, I don’t know what to say except that’s pretty sad from a representative of the “liberal party” if it wasn’t a joke that went over my head.

I registered Independent at voting age so as not to blindly define myself with either major party, in case they were ‘fixers,’ apparently, that’s made me suspect. It’s as if there’s something in the fricken water. And really sad that people no longer seem to define themselves beyond a political party, as if it’s the defining characteristic of a human being. Fuckin Nuts, and certainly a short memory of the Party behind the Bus Burnings.
I’d like to think the person isn’t a goon, because in one of the few emails, I sent, I actually offered to do them a favor which I would’ve been happy to do for them. I did send an email asking what the odd missive was about, again, hopefully, I just didn’t get it.
