….my little white dog will pee on you!

About where we are…

Poking around Ben Smith’s page.. I see our old friend Mushie, Pervez Musharraf… he tagged along with Michael Smerconish, as he voted in Lower Merion Township, PA.

Who knows, maybe Mushie already has a US passport tucked in his Levi’s back pocket.

He’ll vote next time around.

07:41 PM ‘THE OBAMA REGIME’:

In his victory speech, Republican Dan Coats plans to say, “We have every reason in Indiana to be proud — because, with your help, we have done our part by turning a U.S. Senate seat from one that fundamentally enabled the Obama regime to one that firmly opposes it!”

PLUS: Polls have closed in Ohio, North Carolina and West Virginia.

BooHooHooMan - 2 November 2010

I love this part of the night where I haven’t botched anything yet. LOL.

marisacat - 2 November 2010

70% of the vote in in FL and the split, is within .10 if one adds Crist and Meek. We’ll see how the numbers show with 100%… but………

Meek, no invites to the WH anytime soon

BooHooHooMan - 2 November 2010

Bummer!

marisacat - 2 November 2010

Heat the butter!

7. marisacat - 2 November 2010

hmm Maybe Hodes wins “later”….

08:06 PM MORE TEA PARTY WINS:

Marco Rubio, a Republican, has won Florida’s Senate race, the AP says.

ALSO IN THE SENATE: The AP projects that Kelly Ayotte, a Republican, has defeated Paul Hodes in the Senate race in New Hampshire; and Chris Coons, a Democrat, has defeated Christine O’Donnell in the Senate race in Delaware.

MEANWHILE: In the first competitive governor’s race called, the AP says John Lynch, a Democrat, has defeated his GOP challenger in New Hampshire.

8. marisacat - 2 November 2010

Papa Rove…

08:16 PM ROVE REACTS:

After Christine O’Donnell lost the Senate race in Delaware, Karl Rove took the chance to reflect:

“It gave me no pleasure to say that she was unlikely to win. But this again provies a lesson. This is a candidate who was right on the issues but who had mishandled a series of questions brought up by the press.”

Now, had she hired moi (Papa Rove…. )….

Just an exit poll, so far:

08:22 PM SQUEAKER IN PENNSYLVANIA:

An exit poll by CNN has Pennsylvania’s Republican nominee for Senate, Pat Toomey, winning 51 percent of the vote, over Rep. Joe Sestak’s 49 percent.

catnip - 2 November 2010

Every single time I’ve seen Sestak interviewed he’s acted like a sloganeering machine. No substance – all show.

marisacat - 2 November 2010

ohhe is horrible… has been from the get go. So is Bennet in CO… no shock if it all goes down…

18. catnip - 2 November 2010

Geez Louise. Lawrence O’Donnell and Ed Schultz are heavily laying the blame on “the left” for Lincoln’s loss. How pathetic. Get over it. She was a useless blue dog.

Madman in the Marketplace - 2 November 2010

that was pathetic, wasn’t it? Especially funny since Ed was cheering the primary challenge while it was happening.

ugh, and now Luke Russert interviewing Steele … so much stupid packed into one camera frame.

catnip - 2 November 2010

When the election for new pundits?

I thought O’Donnell was going to cry.

Madman in the Marketplace - 2 November 2010

19. marisacat - 2 November 2010

I did note she was wearing an Hermes scarfe. Poor Nan.

08:46 PM TWO MORE DEMS UNSEATED:

Alan Grayson, the liberal Florida congressman, has lost his bid for reelection, according to his GOP opponent, Dan Webster, who put out a statement calling himself the “congressman-elect.”

(the second was Periello, already noted above)

22. BooHooHooMan - 2 November 2010

AAAAAA GRAYSON LOST

BooHooHooMan - 2 November 2010

23. catnip - 2 November 2010
24. catnip - 2 November 2010

Alan Grayson lost? Ha! I knew he would eventually implode.

Madman in the Marketplace - 2 November 2010

I’m personally gonna miss him … he was entertaining at least.

Tweety is laughing in Marsha Blackburn’s face. BTW, she doesn’t consider ANY defense spending to be discretionary spending.

25. marisacat - 2 November 2010

12 states set to close………….

So far, Red wins 8 house seats….

26. Madman in the Marketplace - 2 November 2010

WI too close to call. They’re talking a turnout here approaching 60%.

Madman in the Marketplace - 2 November 2010

If Russ pulls it out, it’ll be turnout in Milwaukee that saves his bacon: In Milwaukee, Feingold Voters Have Obama in Mind

MILWAUKEE—Turnout was strong Tuesday in a mostly African-American neighborhood on Milwaukee’s West Side, where many voters came out to express support for a man not on the ballot: President Barack Obama.

Three-term Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold will need very strong turnout in Democratic strongholds like this one if he is going to catch Republican Ron Johnson, a plastics manufacturer from Oshkosh who is leading by between five and 10 points in recent polls.

A mark of anti-Democratic sentiment greets drivers as they enter the city in the form of a billboard condemning liberal bias in the media.

But here at a polling place inside the brown brick Metropolitan Baptist Church on Burleigh Street, the sentiment was markedly different.

Sylvester Rucker, a 61-year-old custodian, said he voted for Mr. Feingold not so much because he likes the senator but because he believes Mr. Obama will need six more years to right the country and a Democratic-held Congress to do it.

Ummmm, good luck with that.

marisacat - 2 November 2010

ugh aspects of this are crushing.

And I sure don’t care about the Democrats.

I am just happy, I fell off, was pushed, fell again, got run over… etc., from the Dem wagon.

They can no longer break my heart… Mad as hell yes… but not sad.

Madman in the Marketplace - 2 November 2010

no great love here, either, but his challenger is just too damned stupid to live, and I’d rather see Russ on the local media wagging his finger at me than the clown who’s up against him.

marisacat - 2 November 2010

agree.

27. marisacat - 2 November 2010

All together now………. LAUGH:

Grayson’s campaign said they needed a massive Democratic turnout to win, and that simply didn’t happen with the weather.

BooHooHooMan - 2 November 2010

Nothin like losing the race and killing Florida time-sales in one shot. LMAO.

marisacat - 2 November 2010

Hey we are going to be 60+ on the coast with tidal action (7 ft waves) tomorrow…

They can move here.

28. catnip - 2 November 2010

catnip - 2 November 2010

Nothing stings like “umbrage”!

marisacat - 2 November 2010

Maybe he had on a Hermes scarfe too… Like La Nan.

09:21 PM TECHNICALLY NOT OVER:

Despite losses on the East Coast, DCCC chief Chris Van Hollen says he is “confident” that his party will keep control of the House. He also is criticizing NBC News for saying the GOP has taken the chamber, saying: “That’s a mistake. It’s way too early.” CNN has joined NBC in calling the House for Republicans.
