The Best Photos Of Dogs You’ll Ever See – Carli Davidson – Carli Davidson’s Facebook page

I peek out a window sometimes and contemplate the world… and I think I probably get a look on my face like the dog above. I have a soft spot for this one too, I only figured the face out by finding the nose.

What is next. No matter who goes in in 2012, it’s going to b a free for all out of DC. Engines firing, guns ablaze, bombs at the ready. A slasher war movie.  No medics.

The USA!!! USA!!! is a battlespace too. And all of us are potential enemy combatants.

A vast spectacle of competition ripping ever-faster toward a foregone conclusion, a breadbowl circus lathered in Applebees Smokey Barbeque Honey Bacon Strudel Pepper Spice Chipotle Doritos Rub by Bobby Flay

That’s IOZ, on the elections bomb blast bombast.

BTW, in case you are in need of a laugh (and who would turn one down these days?) this morning on the NBC debate David Gregory asked Santorum why, if we live with a nuclear NKorea, a nuclear Pakistan and so on, why can we not live with a nuclear Iran.

His answer – and remember this is Santorum, loonatick xtian:

Iran is a THEOCRACY and believes in an afterlife better than life on earth.

Rapture anyone?

1. BooHooHooMan - 8 January 2012

😆 My, my, my, – Obviously,
Rick Rapture doesn’t know his Afterlife from a hole in the ground.
Them ‘ranians — they ain’t supposed to get any, right?

marisacat - 8 January 2012

Isn’t it a hoot?

I was trying to remember the name of the couple that wrote the Left Behind series… cannot think of it (the Le Hayes, I got it!!). But I heard them several years ago say that while Jews would not be in heaven, they KNEW their dachsunds would be. She was serious too.

BooHooHooMan - 8 January 2012

The authors pooches or Jewish dachsunds? 😆
Talk about ruff. LOL.
And would be a heartbreaking choice at the end, no?
I mean for the dachsunds, especially if the Christian-dachsunds had Jewish-dachsund family and all.
It’s an important story that must be told, I think..
LOL. 101 Dalmations, Sophies Choice,
Hollywood lifted all that shit from the Bible.LOL.

marisacat - 8 January 2012

oh the Le Hayes are now worried their dackles had nose jobs as babies, before they got them. Wouldn’t that be hilarious? Fobing off Jewish doggies on the Extra Extra Xtian Le Hayes.

Maybe their dachsunds are IRANIAN?

BooHooHooMan - 8 January 2012

Well the Iranian angle, sure, afterall,
where do you think they…
in-Dachsund-ate them?
They have special training camps over there, you know.
Popping up out of foxholes, working their weiner-way across a jungle-gym, with those cute little amouflage……..

2. Madman in the Marketplace - 8 January 2012

poor Ricky lives in such a weird little world …

BooHooHooMan - 8 January 2012

😆 Yup.
A real advert for that good, clean, Pennsylvania Catholic Livin’.
(think good, clean-coal-soot-ignorant-10-kid-squalor-BROKE while Mama draws hydro-frac-spoiled-tap-water and Papa sings “Every Sperm is Sacred”)
He’s got a vision.

marisacat - 8 January 2012

A vision and a sweater vest.

Perhaps they have dachsunds TOO.

BooHooHooMan - 8 January 2012

Prolly Dachsunds in sweater vests even.
Well, till the Rapture anyways.
Little custom knit extruded things, V-neck,
room for “Santorum 2012” down the side,.what have you.
..till the Rapture anyways.

marisacat - 8 January 2012

Strange little world.

‘Wild Old Women’ Close San Francisco Bank Of America Branch

A dozen senior citizens calling themselves “the wild old women” succeeded in closing a Bank of America branch in Bernal Heights Thursday.

The women, aged 69 to 82, who live at the senior home up Mission street from the Bernal Heights Bank of America branch, decided to hold their own protest by doing what they called a “run on the bank.”

Tita Caldwell, 80, who led the charge of women with walkers and wheelchairs, said that they’re demanding the bank lower fees, pay higher taxes, and stop foreclosing on, and evicting, homeowners.

As they arrived, Bank of America closed and locked its doors, to the surprise and delight of the elderly protestors, who said that they had no intention of storming the bank.

The women waved signs, but didn’t march or chant, with one woman on supplemental oxygen adding that the group was too old for that.

As they arrived, Bank of America closed and locked its doors, to the surprise and delight of the elderly protestors, who said that they had no intention of storming the bank.

…and then the bank fainted in sheer terror!

Madman in the Marketplace - 8 January 2012

pretty funny … holding a potential PR disaster to their heads!

marisacat - 8 January 2012

I can tell you one thing, I was in my branch BofA a couple of weeks ago, only because I had to go to straighten something out… and I cannot tell you the scraping and bowing. I was BLOWN AWAY… And I am sure I am one of the poorer depositors in the entire place.

Madman in the Marketplace - 9 January 2012

pressure matters, no matter how much companies try to brush it off

4. BooHooHooMan - 9 January 2012

Well, Bankster-fixer Bill Daley is beatin’ it. You know,
Hope for Change You Can Believe In Gurgle-gurgle.
Jacob Lew, ah “Jake”, that is, “Jack” – of late presser nicks – , ah,
The Citi “Alternative Investments” Guy, that is, Lewd Lew, the
Insider Trader in Poisoned MoonPie Derivitives for Grandma Pension Guy
yeh, him, Obama’s “Budget Director”,
He’s takin over as the whole Changte-O, Chief o’ Staffolococcus,..

marisacat - 9 January 2012

Going to spend time iwth the GRANDCHILDREN.

What a laugh.

BooHooHooMan - 9 January 2012

O Ya. – Christmas in Chicago musta done it. LOL.

Daley’s sudden departure was a surprise, and came after he went to Chicago and Mexico over the holidays to spend time with his wife and grandchildren. Democratic Sen. Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, a friend who spoke to Daley on Monday, said Daley told his family he was ready to “come back to Chicago.”

The ole “Fuck It, I’m Goin to Mexico.” LOL.

BooHooHooMan - 9 January 2012

Of course, knowng Daley, Chicago was prolly too placid.
I mean, why not celebrate Baby Jesus where the White House directly funds death squads in the street?

And I love the convention in our politics and journojism where, like Romney the other night quickly sliding in the butressing quote on top of some uber-cretin like Gingrich’s latest splooge, here you have Deek Durbin warming the chesnut-lotion by the.open fire. Emphasis ‘open fire’.

Just utterly shod in shitheels.

marisacat - 9 January 2012

Maybe the real story comes out someday. Til then they all look unhappy and not up to it. Politico says he was frozen out. who knows.

Maybe he wants to hit the tequila bars in Cancun.

BooHooHooMan - 9 January 2012

Oh I’m sorry. Did I say the White House directly funds death squads in the streets of Mexico? What was I thinking? The Peace Prize Winning Obama White House directy funds AND ARMS the death squads in Mexico. Not to be remiss…or mention the Admin brokered global narcotraficking,
I mean, Jeezus H Drug Money Christ, the Banksters gotta get their deposits form somewhere. And Somebody has to pay for private security details and civil liberties crushing “law enforcement” goon squads here, right?

Oh and by the way, the Obama camp’s latest?
Lanny Breuer has coffee-fetcher Holder now trotting out what this shitty Admin should just trademark:
We’re Only Following What Bush Did.

Yeh, how IS that vote for Obama working out?

Well, the way it looks now, the GOP, Issa in the House and Grassley in the Sen, you know, the GOP, people who when they say they are going to investigate till heads roll and, uh, THEY ACTUALLY DO are bringing Holder back to the Hill next month.

Oh we know how it works, but they got this Admin – hubris comes to mind – they got the Obby Admin in the middle of an op that has seen DEA and ICEl and other cops killed with their gun-running.
And If anything, this about efficiency, no?
But any deluded Hope-for-Changies who think the GOP are going to back off this mess are in for some serious twisting in the wind…

m - 10 January 2012

Saw Sylvia Longmire (former analyst) on cspan, World Affairs council, said ATF was told to back-off on surveillance of suspicious gun buyers. WTF?

BooHooHooMan - 10 January 2012

Which makes it a great time to BUY!
That’s right, Mr. & Mrs. America –
Tme to outfit that home arsenal you’ve always wanted!
And deserve! :lol::wink: 🙄

marisacat - 10 January 2012

two handguns in every chicken pot….

5. BooHooHooMan - 9 January 2012

Opinion: Finally, Obama goes all in

Again with The Finally! Hopefully,….finally with The Finally.
Oh I didn’t bother to read it.
All in? On WHAT? War? Plunder? Police Statism? The usual?
Somethin about Judicial appointments.
Maybe the article will mention Schumer’s brother-in-law being slid into the federales Court of Appeals in New Jersey. Very quietly set up over the holidays with crook Chuck-fuck, the now-diapered, drooling Lautenberg, and, of course, Still-not-in-Jail Menendez .

6. Madman in the Marketplace - 9 January 2012
marisacat - 9 January 2012

oh no wonder the Teamsters, at least individuals self identifying as Teamsters, on the ground at the entrance, joined the protest/strike along with Occ and Licorice Co employees over in the East Bay.

Now I get a better picture…

7. marisacat - 10 January 2012

hmm Longview WA

[A]ccordingly, planning for a regional solidarity caravan to shuttle ILWU rank-and-file and other supporters to Longview on word of the EGT vessel’s arrival is already underway. With the support of the San Francisco Labor Council, ILWU Local 10, for one, has already pledged funds for a bus to ferry rank-and-file picketers up to Longview once given the word.

The Northwest Occupy movement, meanwhile, has also begun to mobilize. On December 19, Occupy Longview issued a call for Occupy activists to converge on the port to blockade the loading of any vessel at EGT’s terminal. As Occupy Longview stated, “We are calling out to all occupies, from New York City down to Florida, all the way through to the West Coast, to join us in solidarity…We ask that tens of thousands travel to Longview to join us and make this action the central action for January 2012.” …..

And this:

Of course in addition to repressive labor laws, a key challenge facing any attempt to effectively blockade EGT’s terminal from beginning operations will be the expected heavy-handed police presence. To date, at least 75 out of the 200 Local 21 members have already faced arrest, citation, fines, or both. (Little surprise, then, to learn that EGT has made contributions to local police and fire bureaus.)

But as for what to expect once EGT seeks to load a grain barge later this month, McEllrath warns,

“We have been told that this vessel will be escorted by armed United States Coast Guard, including the use of small vessels and helicopters, from the mouth of the Columbia River to the EGT facility and that the facility itself will be protected by a full complement of local law enforcement from multiple jurisdictions.” ….

So the romneybot wins NH, followed by RONLUAP, Huntsman, Gingrich and Little Ricky.

marisacat - 10 January 2012

As we drag ourselves to SC……………….. whooo hooo!

BooHooHooMan - 10 January 2012

IOZ earlier today:

And in this regard, let me suggest to you that Romney, despite all this shit about his inconsistency and incoherence, his too-slick demeanor and penchant for reversing himself, is far and away the grande dame of Executive Realness; he is exactly what he seems–all id and superego and a Cheshire grin where his I used to be. The other candidates suffer from remnants of actual personalities, and will likely lose because of it. 😆 Interestingly, Obama has always struck me with an almost identical impression, a human personality reduced entirely to its formal, gestural elements, Commedia dell’arte where the soul’s ‘sposed to be. I can’t wait for the general election season.

LOL. I took an early evening snooze, woke up to catch Romney. Gingrich, and Huntsman uttering some of the most vacuous shit imaginable, (no coverage of Obby, of course) then proceeded to watch Meryl Streep,, tho slightly conflicted, (Meryl, not me) engage in a tawdry, licentious affair with her ex-husband played by Alec Baldwin. Clearly an epic, need I say more? Scrumptious pastries and nouvelle cuisine were featured along with some decent weed throughout, all of which somehow effortlessly appear in the obviously readily available breezy Southern Californa professional’s lifestyle,.In other words, America as it should be. I was in it for the chow and the smoke, frankly, both of which registered more texture and proved more attractive than the couple’s three gooey just grown children. I;ll prolly watch it again for South Carolina. LOL.

ts - 10 January 2012

Romney is the perfect candidate for them this cycle. If he loses it’s no big loss, beating an incumbent is tough and the Senate is still theirs for the taking. If he wins, he’s so generic he can be anyone he needs to be. I thought Perry had an outside chance but he’s performed so badly that there’s really nobody else at this point. Once they get out of the low population Bible belt states I think Romney runs away with it.

marisacat - 11 January 2012

I took anti-histamine so I slept most of the evening and early night… waking around 3:30AM for a replay of Romney in NH… declaring

“Tonight We Made History!”.

How so? Everything is such a dodge now, god forbid we deal with the present.

U.S. Marines Urinate On Dead Bodies In Afghanistan

marisacat - 11 January 2012

welll… I think at this point the Marines urinated as the Afghanis, being dead, too late for the mobile, magnetic bomb application.

These wars will never end…. with plans to expand Bagram prison and as a Amnesty Intl person said to day (on RT, surely not on US media) with the passage of NDAA, no chance that Gitmo will close. Ever.

10. marisacat - 11 January 2012

[T]his month, Mikhail Gorbachev, in The Nation , observed the US elite’s “winner’s complex” after the end of the Cold War, and the references to the US as a “hyperpower”, capable of creating “a new kind of empire” . He said, “[t]hinking in such terms in our time is a delusion. No wonder that the imperial project failed and that it soon became clear that it was a mission impossible even for the United States.” The opportunity to build a “truly new world order was lost.” The US decision to expand NATO eastward “usurped the functions of the United Nations and thus weakened it. We are engulfed in global turmoil, “drifting in uncharted waters. The global economic crisis of 2008 made that abundantly clear. “

Sadly, the powers in control of US public policy and their far-flung global allies appear to have learned nothing from the extraordinary opportunity we lost for a more peaceful world at the Cold War’s end. We are now repeating those expansionary designs in Asia, and “thus we continue to drift towards unparalleled catastrophe” as Albert Einstein observed when we split the atom which “changed everything save man’s mode of thinking”.

Encircling China in Cpunch

Just the headline made me puke, then I read it and couldn’t stop gagging. Probably like the author when deep-throating all that Wall Street c-…key, I think I’ll stop before I say something I’ll regret.

Read if you dare. I was surprised that Wall Street makes the sun come up and all the little flowers bloom.

marisacat - 11 January 2012

Public BJ

brian - 12 January 2012

i saw that asshole on frontline once (cuz i remember thinking, wtf is planet money). he was doing a piece on haiti post-quake and economic development possibilities. his focus, naturally, was on increasing tourism and featured some haitian dude who wanted to build a restaurant near a monument to the haitian slave revolt. the major tourist hotels couldnt send their guest out there cuz there wasn’t a road. so our reporter went around asking why no one has paid to build that road yet. everywhere he went (even the assholes at the clinton foundation) were like, we can’t build the road yet cuz we’ve barely started rebuilding houses. planet money couldn’t believe houses could be more important than tourism

marisacat - 12 January 2012

what a n idiot.
