Sheriff deputy punches mentally challenged woman in head, allegedly threatens man who taped it

Like the vet who confronted the cops at Occupy in NY months ago, this vet points out in the interview at the link that he had rules of engagement that wouldn’t allow him to act the way this cop does. The cop full-out cold-cocks this woman in the face.

Photographer Gathers 1,000 Portraits Of Occupy Wall Street Faces

Bahmani: I think it’s important to highlight the individual messages especially in a movement like Occupy that’s leaderless, because essentially all the messages, all the voices, are saying the same thing. That’s what really strong about the movement . People from around the country, from all different walks of life have the same concerns. In the editing process, I started to see lots of similarities. I grouped the messages and started making collages. I grouped the families. I grouped the students, who were all saying they were over-educated and underemployed. I grouped the teachers, and the children.

What’s beautiful about the children is that their parents didn’t write their messages for them. The children wrote the messages themselves. One of my favorites says, “More money for education not for war.” Another one was concerned about tuition hikes — he’s like 8 or 10, but he’s saying, ‘Tuition went up by 98 percent in the last ten years — what will it be when I’m in college?’

That’s what makes the voices strongest, after you read one by one, it’s all one voice, yet the people don’t know each other.

Turnstyle: What are your goals for this collection of photos?

Bahmani: I’ve photographed over 200 images and the goal is to shoot over 1,000 images between NYC and the Bay Area. The goal for now is to reach the Kickstarter goal and finish the work. As we move into Spring of 2012, we will see the Occupy movement get stronger and bigger, and I want to photograph that. The photos will be featured in the OWS exhibit in the South Street Seaport Museum, regardless of funding. I’ve been approached by publishers about making a book. For now, it’s just making the work and finishing it, and displaying it. Just having the work amplifies the voice of the 99 percent.

Turnstyle: The Occupy movement is morphing dramatically from what it used to be in September. In your mind, where is the movement headed and how does that influence your portrait project?

Bahmani: I think the movement has changed since September. I think the thing that has changed is the police brutality. It has changed a lot of the messages that people were saying. Initially people were happy coming together, expressing concerns, but now I’ve photographed people with broken arms. On their casts it says, ‘The NYPD did this.’ There’s a lot more frustration.

I get permission from people to take pics and publish it, but I won’t publish their names. I don’t think their names are as important as the messages they have.

Blinders on, or!, maybe just blind:

–The State, “Evangelicals taking second look at Romney,” by Carolyn Click:

“Romney’s religious faith remains an obstacle for some, as it did in the 2008 primary, when he came in fourth place. ‘He’s Mormon. That’s hard for me as a Baptist,’ said Jane Morgan, a stay-at-home mom in Greenville who attended a Rick Santorum event Sunday.

‘I grew up being taught, you know, it’s a cult … I don’t want a president that supports that mystical, cult-like thing.'” http://bit .ly/wQreiw

What I find amazing is the bad luck.
What Creator would screw the rest of us like this? LOL

I see us as a mix of Israel and Liberia. And Chile and Argentina in their histories… (plus of course our long displayed own insanity)

We are so fucking scroood.

as an ex-mormon, i’ve heard a couple different explanations on the locations of book of mormon. so in the early days, when joe smith was running the shit, the book of mormon took place in north america. then they switched the location to central america, like it was a history of the incas or whatever lol. but now they’re moving back to america according to this book my dad lent me. the mound builders in the ohio valley or something.
btw, there’s a prophet in the book of mormon who “predicted” that columbus would “discover” america lol

BooHooHooMan - 13 January 2012

Well, and this is seriously now ( as serious as one can be when discussing religion and electoral politics) I think the hard-Christers,the hard stuff types, like the panhandling-for-Jesus-hooch-in-city-alley-and door-to-door types ( zeroing in on Evangelicals Protestants , “Charismatic’ Catholcs 🙄 🙄 and the like, who have come tacitly to an approach over THEIR Je$u$, .. they do have an issue with the Mormons. Which is how it always begins isn’t it? Somebody moving in on the panhandling turf. Who controls the drop. Street crews ignoring the Dons rulings after the ritual sitdown. Market share problems. .Eats in to the numbers games, bad enough, but with the effrontery of not kicking up. Yeh there is definitely some weird Brand One True Jesus shit going on. Not that it matters with Mitt , he is fully programmable, biz-and-bot-bomb ready – but I sense there is concern among the strata of American hegemonists about “the Mormons” and “Mormonism” to the degree that Mormans “them people” – aside from the Church willing to play in the whole domestic social-havoc-reeking game, (Prop 8, abortion) how many people can they actually get lathered up to go out and, you know, SHOOT SOME FOREIGNERS. Sometimes it not enoough to be heavy in the arms business going back to the Browning rifle.

So there it is, what I’m getting at: their adversaries “problem” with “them Mormans” as a people happy to spread their way of life overseas and talk about Moroni and Euchre or Malf-Ralpharun or whatever the fuck the various character’s names were: They, as a peaple, as many people fortunately do, seem to come up a bit LACKING in the Hegemonists department, no? I mean we’re looking for a few, proud, full-on Spanish Inquisition Torture, Kill Ya, Pose Ya, Piss on the Corpse type …PEOPLE
And there’s actually a sprinkle or two too much of isolationism in some of “them Morman’s” mind your own business and food store brand of American Exceptionalism that gives the Zionists pause.
Like, didn’t the BYU fans get the memo?
That the homo bashing is meant to leveraged?

I DO Like that prediction about Columbus.
Any Scripture revealed in the 1800’s that can do that is okay by me. By the way, I think Romney will win New Hampshire as Bachmann fades.. LOL.

Oh Mitt doesn’t have a prollem , no POL with money, an angle and a Xtian label does, but the foregoing is always in play.
Market Share. Influence.
Got Money? Zealots? Going Our Way?

Oh for fuck’s sake –
We can do surgery IN the Courtroom.
Or have the trial in the O.R. !!
Not a Problem!

John Edwards has life-threatening condition: Judge

GREENSBORO, North Carolina — Ex-presidential candidate John Edwards has a life-threatening heart condition that will require surgery next month, 😆 his doctor told a judge presiding over Edwards’ upcoming court case over possible campaign violations.

It’s Life Threatening! Let’s schedule it! AfterWHILE!
How long can you wait?
We’ll fix the runny-poo thing when we get around to it, too!

A cardiologist for the 58-year-old ex-North Carolina Senator wrote two letters about his condition to Judge Catherine Eagles who talked about them Friday during a hearing to consider whether the trial would go on later this month. She delayed it until at least March 26.

Edwards walked into the courtroom in Greensboro without assistance and appeared healthy. The judge requested that he be there.

The judge did not give any more details about what sort of surgery or what illness Edwards may have. The doctor also wrote that Edwards should avoid driving and travel, including to the court proceedings.

“The public has an interest in a speedy trial, and this case has already been continued twice,” Eagles said. “Ordinarily, I would try to manage something like this. But clearly there are some limitations on Mr. Edwards due to real and serious health issues.”

Prosecutors had said they were ready to try Edwards on six felony and misdemeanor counts related to nearly $1 million from wealthy donors used to help hide his pregnant mistress during his 2008 White House run.

Life threatening scheduling problems.
Oh Johnny. I’m so heartbroken over that son of a millworker. LOL
This is a guy who spent almost $1300 bucks for a haircut, summoning his favorite stylists to fly-in on a moments notice
Led to schedulable emergent life threatening heart disease.

Reminds me of the time a bunch of us got picked up for underage drinking and we all said they shouldn’t call our folks that we’d just pay the fine,, and future middling lawyer, then bad biology student Jeff chimed in that it would be bad for our parents…. and all. 🙄
How so? the cop asked.
“Because they ALL just Seem Like they might be on the verge of a.. of a.. of a….SOMETHING Health Related!

I laughed when I heard it tody. Yeah, life threatening. Bullshite. From what I Have read he has been decorating bar stools for a few years at this or that watering hole in his town. Basically hanging out, cruising the local scene.

BooHooHooMan - 13 January 2012

A stretch within a stretch upon a stretcher.
Nice hair tho.
“Life Threatening”.
Of the not-so-imminently-or-even-potentially-so as to require emergent surgery.
Schedulable in a month, coinky~dinkily at the outset of trial.

I imagine they are going to be begging for a plea meantime.
If not , they SHOULD because this gambit isn’t going to work short of him DYING.
What juice does he have?
And any calculus this plays on him “losing” his wife after he discarded her? GMAFB.
.Not a stand-up bone in his body
How he thinks he can skate I don’t know. What’s he working with?

LOL, and like you say, It’s not even like he was ever “in” enough to have any dirt on anybody. I mean, Cheney might have the motorcade pull over, but Vader would decline anesthesia and just have have quadruple bypass right there while making calls in the car. And threatening to render the Judge and the US Attorneys over the phone –
While toppling a few countries… over LUNCH.

It’s all so exceptionally fucked up.

oh luv the contrast of Cheney v Edwards.. so true.

His bar stool is calling him… bet he wishes he could be seen in public.

N.H. widow shocked by ploy at polls

A grieving New Hampshire widow said she was stunned to learn her beloved husband’s identity was used for a political gotcha — just 10 days after his death.

“That’s awful,” Rachel Groux said. “Why should they use his name? They shouldn’t use anybody’s name — alive or deceased.”

Activist filmmaker James O’Keefe secretly recorded video showing his operative using Roger Groux’s name and address to obtain a Republican ballot at Manchester polls Tuesday. The U.S. Navy veteran died Dec. 31 at an assisted living home. His family held funeral services Monday, his widow said. “Oh my God, I know what he would say, ‘Call the cops, call the police,’ ” Rachel Groux said.

Scott Walker Billboard Brags About Job Creation To Empty Factory Yard

Some unintentional American Heroes of comedy placed one of a series of billboards touting the jerb creation skillz of Wisconsin’s Kochgobbler governor Scott Walker directly in front of a shuttered GM factory that sent 10,000 people to the unemployment line. It’s such an apt visual, seeing his fat head up there surveying the landscape of other peoples’ misery with a weaselly, self-satisfied grin. And how is the whole job creation process going in Wisconsin these days? “In every month since June, the state has lost jobs both overall and in the private sector,” according to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. Has everyone in Wisconsin remembered to sign the recall Walker petition yet? They’re due next week!

The billboard has already come down, boo, after the pro-Walker group that sponsored it heard that the Internet was making fun.

Savage Love Letter of the Day: Those Kinky Katholics!

Letter writer links to a website called “celice dot co dot uk” and asks some questions:

1. Made by Italian Nuns?

2. Is Rick Santorum wearing some (or all) of this stuff DURING the debates?

3. Is the point of a 3-link full-waist cilice over a 1-link cilice that it gets you “closer to God” (read: off) quicker, or is it just a size-queen thing?

4. Could the proprietors and nuns really think all of their sales are due to abstinent Numenarys?

answers?

1. Gotta keep those girls occupied and out of trouble.

2. Why should debate viewers be the only ones who suffer?

3. Some people are pain pigs, MASOCH. The more it hurts, the more those people like it. And while not all those people are debate viewers, all debate viewers are those people.

4. They can pretend to think that, they most likely do pretend to think that, and odds are good they’ll go on pretending to think that. But their website resembles nothing so much as a high-end online SM sex shop. I imagine the good Catholics who run that site are like the owner of, say, a bridle shop in, say, Manhattan who sells more riding crops to New Yorkers than there are riders or horses on the entire East Coast. He can tell himself that his customers are all dedicated riders, if it makes him feel better, but he’s not fooling anyone—not even himself.

We’re all guilty of dehumanizing the enemy

There is another context for that behavior, though — a more contemporary one. As a society, we may be disgusted by seeing U.S. Marines urinating on dead Taliban fighters, but we remain oddly unfazed by the fact that, presumably, those same Marines just put bullets through the fighters’ chests. American troops are not blind to this irony. They are very clear about the fact that society trains them to kill, orders them to kill and then balks at anything that suggests they have dehumanized the enemy they have killed.

But of course they have dehumanized the enemy — otherwise they would have to face the enormous guilt and anguish of killing other human beings. Rather than demonstrate a callous disregard for the enemy, this awful incident might reveal something else: a desperate attempt by confused young men to convince themselves that they haven’t just committed their first murder — that they have simply shot some coyotes on the back 40.

It doesn’t work, of course, but it gets them through the moment; it gets them through the rest of the patrol.

There is a final context for this act in which we are all responsible, all guilty. A 19-year-old Marine has a very hard time reconciling the fact that it’s okay to waterboard a live Taliban fighter but not okay to urinate on a dead one.

–PLAYBOOK FACTS OF LIFE: Colbert is both ridiculing and illuminating the process as he holds up his comedic mirror. Colbert and his staff take their satire seriously: His viewers actually know the difference between a PAC and a super PAC.

Kittehs in space!

The only larger cat to retain its purring ability is the cheetah. No other animal can make the sound that cats do. Which begs the question, why do cats do it?

The most common theory is that they purr to bond with other cats, since kittens start purring at about the second week, but cats have been known to purr under stressful or painful conditions. Dr. Elizabeth Von Muggenthaler, who is the president of Fauna Communications Research, and, judging by her name, a fully-qualified instructor at Hogwarts, suggests that the vibration can heal injuries and has been shown to increase bone density. Bones respond to pressure by building themselves up. Constant low pressure vibrations could work to the same degree that more occasional high-impact motion does. Cats might have adapted to purr to help keep their muscles, tendons, and bones healthy despite their astounding napping ability.

A sedentary lifestyle isn’t the only way to earn frail bones and sad, weak muscles. Going into space will do the same thing. Astronauts come back from orbiting the earth only to head into physical rehab. Microgravity, the kind that people experience on the space station, can result in one percent bone loss per month. Without the ability to regularly exercise muscles, astronauts also lose muscle mass and strength, especially in their legs. One suit, which simulates the way gravity causes our body to exert pressure on our lower extremities, has already been designed to cope with the damage that space does to people. Maybe a different suit could be designed – one that simulated the frequency and tone of a cat’s purr to help astronauts keep their bones and muscles strong in microgravity. All we need to do is explain that astronauts need to be fitted with vibrating catsuits.

marisacat - 14 January 2012

Can you see explaining to the John Glenns that they need a little cat purr?

Michael Whitney at Cpunch:

Seat Belts ON!!!

[B]ernanke promised that the first round of quantitative easing (QE1) would boost employment (It hasn’t) and improve housing sales (it never happened) The only uptick in sales occurred because the colluding banks deliberately reduced the supply of foreclosed homes they put on the market. The reduction has led to a massive 1.7 million backlog of housing units (shadow inventory) that will eventually be dumped onto the market triggering another sharp decline in housing prices [yeah no kidding… -Mcat]. Bernanke wants to do something about the bulging inventory as well as prop up the value of sagging MBS. So, the Fed’s plan actually has two main objectives; in other words, it’s the double whammy.

Here’s more from Bloomberg:

“Since the Fed started buying $1.25 trillion of mortgage bonds in January 2009, the value of U.S. housing has fallen 4.1 percent [yup and in SF too, 3.7… -Mcat] , and is down 32 percent from its 2006 peak, according to an S&P/Case-Shiller index. The central bank is poised to buy about $200 billion this year, or more than 20 percent of new loans, as it reinvests debt that’s being paid off. Some Fed officials have said they may support additional purchases that Barclays Capital estimates could total as much as $750 billion.”

Did you catch that? Taxpayers are going to get slammed for another $750 billion. That’s nearly as much as Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the fiscal stimulus that added 2 percent to GDP and kept unemployment from rocketing to 13 percent. Bernanke wants to throw that same amount down a Wall Street sinkhole. . . . . .

marisacat - 14 January 2012

More:

[H]ere’s the scoop from another article in the Wall Street Journal:

“The paper also signaled that the Fed…. will try to involve banks more directly in housing-revival approaches… One area involves efforts to turn foreclosed homes into rental properties….

Banking regulations typically direct banks to sell foreclosed homes quickly, although the rules do recognize this isn’t always practical and so these properties can be held up to five years. The Fed said it is now “contemplating issuing guidance” to banks and regulators that would possibly allow banks to turn some of these foreclosed homes into rental properties…..The hope is this may help stanch the flow of foreclosed properties into markets…” (“Fed Up With the Depressed State of Housing”, Wall Street Journal)

Bingo. The banks are not only sitting on 1.7 million shadow inventory of homes they’ve stockpiled to keep prices artificially high. They also have millions more in the pipeline when a settlement is finally reached on the robo-signing scandal. So, what are they going to do with all that backlog?

That’s easy. They’ll schluff it off on the taxpayer by creating a foreclosure-to-rental swindle where the government provides lavish incentives for banks and private equity scavengers to buy the homes (in bulk) for pennies on the dollar with loans provided by–you guessed it–Uncle Sam.

Here’s a summary of what’s going on behind the scenes:

“As the Obama administration and federal regulators work on a program to sell government-owned foreclosures in bulk to investors, those investors aren’t wasting any time stockpiling cash and buying foreclosed properties at auction and from the major banks.

Oakland, California-based Waypoint Real Estate Group, a major acquirer of so-called “REO to Rental” (Real Estate Owned) just announced a partnership with a private equity firm, Menlo Park, California-based GI Partners, to buy foreclosed properties….

“Our approach to buying distressed single-family houses, renovating them, and leasing to residents who are committed to a path to future home ownership is a viable solution to our nation’s housing crisis,” said Colin Wiel, managing director and co-founder of Waypoint in a press release. “Our partnership with GI Partners ensures we can take the next step in our company’s evolution.” . . . . .

BooHooHooMan - 15 January 2012

A key to it, is they expect people to go quietly, here in Jersey, anyways, people are flooding the courts. They just. ain’t. goin. and, as in the case in the link above, are out to extract every bit of due process before bankster-plaintiffs can make off with the asset.
Homeowners are now flat out rejecting that con, the “short sale”
(More of a thing for zombie entities committing bankruptcy fraud in commercial real-estate. A whole other can kicked down the road) People just aren’t too happy with the whole expedited serfdom idea!. The effrontery!

Oh I know, I know,… I know what you are all thinking, New Jersey leading the way, being the Cradle of Civilization and all, LOL, but seriously, happening everywhere, even here, it’s the new deal.
Short sales, out. People OCCUPYING, in: …their homes, litigation in the courts, Fuck going quietly – the new new deal.

Methinks OWS couldn’t have come along at a worse time from the Bankster’s POV, Defendant’s in greater numbers are fighting back against the foreclosure mills, (more on that singularity at the very end) and are getting good at it, often filing pro se, resisting at every step of the way, filing counterclaims, demanding trial. Previously facilitated by what’s left of decent housing advocates, there is now ( in no small part inspired by OWS in my opinion) a clear resurgence in legal resistance and physical occupation,, all the while conserving their resources at every step of the way thru appeal and beyond.
The money mongers? Oh it’s gonna cost ’em. Already is. Plenty.

For the Banksters? (Corzine being a smaller fry among big ‘taters, Dimon is now whining at losses)..Those MotU who bet on a quick roll-over-and-die in Europe? They are being confronted with broad based resistance now , beating up and arresting several thousand in the streets much easier and inexpensive than millions of litigants in court. Which is several fucking with their plans and cash-flow requirements, which™, also™, with any luck, will lead to open gunfire™ between traders in MBS at derivatives desks. (they now prefer the “ABS” moniker , “asset backed securities” over the whole mortgage downer.)
So Fire Away, Extortion Artists: Pretty much the zeitgeist.
We ain’t payin’, We ain’t leavin, Sue us, already.

All of which brings us to Obby, him, that drip, being tasked with selling another Bailout 😆 Oh Good Lord, what a scream!
Good Luck to him and his humpers, politically, quite aside from whether the banksters get their next fix, the odds being what they are: they probably will, The Bernanke and all.
But the Congress-critters certainly aren’t going to vote for it.
They have Obby roped in: it’s HIS TURD now. 😆
A roped turd, about it for the Obster. He has to come begging.
And they’ll refuse this heeyah election year.
So Barry get’s it up the ol’ Gipper, all of it without the re-election prospects, any efforts to blame-share with The Bernanke not having a line on the ballot.

How they have been able to levitate this has been remarkable, and they have, hemorrhaging cash , but, ya know – with the trillion or two here and there band-aids on the head-shot, but it is this very-slow-break-it-to-the-grieving-sheeple “we got a difficult situation here”™ – that makes for some increasingly spectacular exsanguination in the offing.
I think 2012 is going to be tremendous in Popcorn.
Back to one of those days where I’m thinking Obby is toast no matter who is running against him.
::

** I would submit this, from the piece inked above::

And in the meantime, foreclosure filings to the court have all but ground to a halt. There are an estimated 60,000 cases pending in the courts, according to bank figures, and more in the pipeline. [Just in NJ – bhhm ]

“There are tens of thousands (of complaints) that haven’t been filed, that should have been filed over the past year, that are awaiting a process 🙄 that can work, because we don’t have one right now,” Melodia said.

He added, “we believe the foreclosure system is in many ways broken, and this case in this court provides an opportunity that we can fix some of these issues.”

Oh the Banksters are looking for the helpful, Draconian hand from the courts, But the only reason that foreclosure filings have “ground to a halt” in NJ, or are down nationally (the commensurate political and financial sunshine pumping up ass operations aside – these are the same Bankster-Pol-shits calling foreclosure litigation “broken” when doesn’t work for them ) is that people are pushing back harder and in greater numbers in the courts than ever before and are simply.not. walking. away. from – HELLO – the utility value in their homes.
Fuck what the banks say they owe. Counterfeiters. Shysters.
Fuck em, pretty much the deal.
And the serfs got liquor, meth, and guns. LOL.

Long but def interesting, on the shadow inventory (RE) and the so-called dark inventory (commodities)…

The Rise of Dark Inventory in Housing and Oil

[Z]ombie money pays for dark oil inventory; this is for instance why tar sands can look profitable, even as their EROEI is very low. If there’s sufficient difference between spot prices and forward prices for natural gas and oil, it makes sense to turn the former into the latter (which is all that tar sands are about). Nothing to do with energy efficiency, everything to do with market manipulation. The same goes for shale gas, and for oil shale. It will all soon give a whole new meaning to the term “unsustainable”. Promise.

Zombie money also allows, and causes, lenders, aided and abetted by governments all over, who want no part of a crashing real estate market, to keep millions of homes off the market, which in turn allows them to keep billions, if not trillions of dollars, in losses off their books. This results in hundreds of millions of people, throughout the western world, who think their homes are worth much more than they are. And then they wake up.

Dark inventory and shadow inventory keep us all from having a realistic picture of what is actually out there, what anything at all is worth. Prices are not set in any sort of “free” market; they are set in “shadow markets”, “dark markets”, in which – derivative – financial instruments rule, not the actual assets they are based on. Until they don’t. . . . .

He also makes a point that by now, the banks have little interest in taking back [more] homes in foreclosure, one reason they are letting foreclosures drag out forever. Interesting point, not that I would know.

He also mentioned that BP and G Saxe were joined together, even had a joint Chairman:

[B]P and Goldman Sachs get Married

From 1995 to 2007 BP and Goldman Sachs were joined at the head, having the same chairman – the Irish former head of the World Trade Organisation, Peter Sutherland. From 1999, until he fell from grace in 2007 through revelations about his private life, BP’s CEO Lord Browne was also on the Goldman Sachs board.

The outcome of the relationship was that BP were in a position, if they were so minded, to obtain interest-free funding via Goldman Sachs, from GSCI investors through the simple expedient of a sale and repurchase agreement: ie BP could sell title to oil with an agreement to buy back the oil later at an agreed price. . . .

hiding the damage, the rot, behind the ability to write off what an asset “should be” worth is just deadly. The lack of transparency, and the legal frauds that assign “value” to shit people either don’t want or that isn’t worth the asking price, is killing us.

BooHooHooMan - 15 January 2012

Whatever they do it’s all so “Stand up there, fellah”, really Bidenesque to the legless at this point. Fuckin klepto- economy, broken people, broken everything, with “Pick up thy mat, Walk AND Pay Us,” being their solution.
Oh they’re definitely gonna need Jeebus on this one.

It’s true , the CP piece, that the TBTF are sandbagging foreclosure inventory, that their end game is looking for a big fat check to be rid of much of it, the plummiest plums plucked, the cherry picking left to bottom feeders in local markets, collection agencies tied in /owned by law firms,

And while I got carried away 😳 😆
“the ONLY reason why” foreclosures are flatlining, LOL , my bad, but the thing is so fucked up that even the courts can’t accommodate them well when their political/market machinations stall. And even if they do the rental recovery idea, ( “The American Dream” overdue for a Script Doctor anyways) they are eating their money-lender-own, over the short term anyways, till codified serfdom is ushered in. Ah well, control of the land has been thei age old means of liquidating people in the end.

I don’t know about NJ (which of course is in the Tigris Euphrates valley, we just have not bombed it yet!) but in SF we have cut courts and court staff… I think about 17%, something like that.

BooHooHooMan - 15 January 2012

😆 😉 Well by all means, do us the favor! LOL.
I would suggest starting around Saddle River but, ya know.
Thanks for the BI piece,so true, the whole thing is built on “notional value”.( Doesn’t “value” have it’s own notional built in?)
So now we have notional value, all certified to be bankably so! It’s just that apparently, someone has been adding notion lotion. to the potion. Enh, so much for economic A-bomb sunscreen.

The BI piece also goes to how the rental hoo hah whatev they are pushing as a “solution” to the MBS isn’t any more workable than the last con idea. Just a line for the next infusion, they know it:: the bottom line is that they see no money in any operational like business anymore, LOL, not even as rentiers.
Evidenently, they’re returning to and expect payment for services in THE oldest profession on have Earth: HOLY MEN. Soothsayers, conjurers, Wizards, PRIESTS.

I am reading a piece at Cpunch… on how Wall St has, basically, bankrupted the MTA in NYC. Jesusfuckingchrist. Talk about scorched earth.

You probably know all about it but i did not.

Madman in the Marketplace - 15 January 2012

sounds like a variation on the ratfucking that the banksters gave Jefferson County, Alabama.

ts - 15 January 2012

The Fed really has dug their own hole. Banks now have the option of carrying an unperforming loan for free (cause interest rates are zero – actually, they get 1/4 point for their excess reserves so they make money), or spending money to write it off and take a loss. Not surprising they’re just letting stuff rot.

BooHooHooMan - 15 January 2012

And it’s not enough. The hideous greed aside, I’m thinking they could all be shot just on the whiny, pain in the ass factor alone..

marisacat - 15 January 2012

There you go, No Whiners. Or, you know, the Travelling Guillotine wants to hug your neck, make you feel all better.

BooHooHooMan - 15 January 2012

The answer to all this , obviously, is for society to finally accept the science and acknowledge the Banster as a unique genus and species – whatever – indisputably atop the food chain.. Some sort of proclamation could work, even an International Preserve set up where infinite amounts of money and live human sacrifice could be delivered to them in a controlled environment. Sort of like the Pope’s proposal meets Dodd-Frank meets Jurrasic Park, where money and sapien flesh, you know, holiday. For that matter, Benedict, Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank could be among the first feeding technicians, or just the feed. We better think of something.
