Frozen Planet: pictures from Sir David Attenborough’s latest polar TV series – Adélie adults make their chicks chase them for food after returning from the sea, Cape Crozier, Antarctica. The chase is to bring their chicks away from the large creches in the colony and deter other greedy chicks from collecting food from penguins that are not their parents! [BBC/Jeff Wilson]
Seems appropriate to Hallowe’en… everybody guarding their candy haul.

Apparently Kathi Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb were in Seattle today for their hour of the Today Show… and Occupy Seattle decided to occupy the back ground crowd…
hmm I just heard that Occupy Oakland has been served with an eviction notice… they can gather in the day but they are evicted from staying overnight. We shall see….
